A GREAT PROGRAMMABLE WALL SWITCH -COUNT DOWN TIMER

1. Ordered the 12 hour count down model, but it functioned as PTS 60 WH (1 hour count-down). I just couldn't figure out what I was doing wrong since the switch-timer unit has a "PTS 720 WH" sticker on it. I called the manufacturer and I was greeted and treated with a FIVE star customer service rating!! They stayed on the phone with me while I unscrewed the switch twice out from the wall junction box and did multiple test. Unfortunately the device has a 60 minuted software and they could not do anything more. We were both stoked why the switch had a PTS 720 label on it... It a mystery... 2. The programming feature is a little complicated. The written instruction sheet is a little complicated, but the guys at SENSORSWITCH cleared it up right away. They have a excellent customer service! 3. I really like the unit because it does not require any load in order for the unit to work and just two-wire connection + gnd. (NOT 4-wire type) 4. I'm going to replace the unit with Amazon with the exact same model. I just hope it's a 24 Hour unit ! 5. Rated: 120AC @ 800W or 277VAC @ 1200W / Max motor load is 1/4 HP 6. LED is green and it's not too bright to disturb "me" in my bedroom 7. you can select "beeps" it turn off or "blink" a second before it turn off in any combination A SMALL UNIT WITH MANY GREAT FEATURES! I recommend it! UPDATE JULY 23, 2014 - Got the replacement today, tested with correct time setting of 12 hours max (not 1 hour). 2 wire and ground, It's so easy to upgrade! Great count down timer switch!

No neutral wire required to operate timer

I have been looking for a timer like this for years! Timers similar to this require a neutral wire in order for it to work. So because of that I was never able to use my outdoor lighting while I was not home. They do some extra cool things that were better than the older timers I was originally going to use. The leds light up as the time goes down. (example) If you set it for 12 hrs the led will flash for 30secs before changing the led to 8 hrs. It does this until the time runs out. When the timer is about to turn off it flashes the led and beeps letting you know the light will turn off in a minute. (beep is not loud and annoying) Enjoying the ability to now have my lights turn off!

It works!

Installed and works fine for my bathroom fan--the only no-neutral required countdown timer that works. I found another one in Menards, but it did not work, and no neutral-required ones are very rare in general. I really like it andh hope it continues to work. The only negative is extremely complicated programming that is done, for the reason I cannot fanthom, using just one of the buttons on the switch. In fact, I decided to live with 2 and 1 minute warning beeps for now, though originally wanted to turn them off -- so that I don't have to change factory programming.

and was easy to install

I'm using this to run a bathroom heat lamp, 250 watts. It works perfectly, and was easy to install. I selected it for the 2 hour increment and have not particular use for the 4, 8, or 12 hour increments. I love it. It needs to have your hot wire (usually black) and your ground wire (often unclad copper) in your box for proper installation.

Money saver

It just works. The time increments work well for my application. It can be setup to operate in several different ways. My electric bill dropped $40 after installing this.
