Works really well

This light strip is really easy to set up. There are many options to choose from for which color of light you want and they are all very pretty. You can even make your own blend of colors and save them as a "Do It Yourself" color option for up to six colors. Of course there are also a lot of choices for patterns of light, but I only know that they work well as a solid light because all of the flashing/blinking/fading in and out of lights triggers vertigo for me so I avoid them. And lastly, you can also choose the brightness of the lights. We live in an older home that was never wired for overhead lights in our living room, although they exist in the rest of the house. Strange. Anyway, instead of always using floor lamps, I thought these would be pretty to run along our ceiling for a softer overall light. And by choosing different colors or light variations it is easy to set the mood of the room. I chose this set because it advertised "strong adhesive tape" and said it can be used on a "rough and irregular surface." Since my walls are painted, they have an irregular surface like you would find from painting with a paint roller. It's slight, but it's still there. The adhesive on this strip of lights is a 3M foam strip which works really well to hold it in place. During the day, the light strip is not very noticeable against my off-white walls (see photo 1). When it gets dark and I turn these lights on, I'm amazed at how well they light up my living room (see photos 2). This is only one set of lights. I bought a second set for the other wall, but we haven't put it up yet. I'm excited to see how bright it will be with a set on each wall!

Excellent product and excellent customer service

While visiting a friend's home, I was entranced by these lights on her porch and decided to buy them for my own home. Installation could not have been easier, and within minutes, I was enjoying my own light show. I didn't pull the backing to use the adhesive on the back because I wasn't sure if I had chosen the best placement. Instead, I put a little tape at intervals to keep them in place. That worked fine so I can't speak to the quality of the adhesive. These are high quality lights and provide a wealth of variety to the show depending on one's mood. I envision multicolor for Christmastime, green for St. Patrick's Day, red for Valentine's Day, Orange for Halloween--the combos are endless. But sadly, after a week or so, the remote stopped working. I had to use the plug to turn them on and off, but I was unable to change the color or movement of the lights without the remote. I went back to the Q&A on the product description and saw that the same thing had happened to another purchaser. The seller had replied to that person with remedies. I tried these, but they didn't work. I also noticed that they had provided an email in the event the remedies did not help so I used it. The following day, the seller responded with an apology. They told me to order a new remote from the link they provided and they would refund the cost. I ordered, and promptly received acknowledgment from Amazon that the purchase price was refunded. Today, I received the new remote and installed it--voila! Everything works perfectly. I could not be happier with this purchase. I heartily recommend it.

Dabs all day having fun in Gray

Yes I am pleased with these for the money but they do not keep their brightness I've had them for about 4 months they're not as great as they were day one but it's okay they still work I love the way they light up everything that you put them behind if you put them on your ceiling the right way they will light up your whole wall and if you are really handy you can hide them if not it's okay they don't look that I have them everywhere behind my TV on your my bed behind my bookshelf behind my computer I need my computer desk behind my computer desk I absolutely love these lights the only thing is I keep mine on constantly one strict when you shut it off it makes it high pitch squealing noise so I don't know is I just keep it on it doesn't do it that is the only reason why I'm not giving you a 5-star review

I Really Like These Lights!

I like these lights they’re super cute, you can make your own colors if you want which is cool in my opinion and perfect if I wanna take pictures. They did fall off my wall more than a few times though, I’m not sure if it’s cause of the temperatures in my room or what. But when I travel for a week or two and comeback it’s on the floor, when I travel I turn the ac off so i’m not sure if that has something to do with it. Super cute just have someone help you put these up so it’ll stay longer, and wipe where you’re gonna put the lights with a wet paper towel and let it dry just so it won’t stick to dust or anything else.

Over a year* and still working great *Updated

The media could not be loaded. Purchased on 10/24/17 ---------------------------- First Review Posting 6/20/18 They've been working great for over half a year now. No problems with the LEDs yet. Placed them in my room for ambient lighting. ---------------------------- 2nd Review Posting 11/28/18 The LED strip has been still working fantastic just as I got it day 1, which I use it daily for my main room lighting in the evening and sometimes leave it on the lowest brightness through out the night. The adhesive is still stuck good on my desk and bed top. The IR remote did stop functioning which I contacted Xiajun Luo US (the sellers) and they went above and beyond my expectations. They refunded me the 7$ needed for a new remote and IR receiver even though my 1 year warranty was just slightly past it period. They also responded very quickly and were courteous. Definitely recommend this kit and seller! ---------------------------- 3rd Review Posting 8/1/19 Still working perfectly fine. ---------------------------- 4th Review Posting 4/15/20 Yup still working perfectly fine. I have a section that is exposed to sunlight. As the UV will do this the coating has oxidized and turned slightly yellow but 0 issues to the LEDs
