not a cool tip

I loved how shiny my naturally frizzy hair is after curling with this curling iron. I have been using only a brush and hair drier to style my hair for so long. I always use the cool shot button, and hottest heat. I get decent results. But now my hair is shiny! and soft! Now my complaints...the tip is super hot, so a novice like me finds it clumsy to use with no way to use second hand to steady it. Also the digital heat adjustment might as well be invisible. It is so super faint, dim that I can nearly tell when it is on, and I can never tell if its 200 or 400 or 20 for that matter. I just wing it. My hair is thick and strong so Im not super heat picky. But this set up is no bueno. I can't tell if that is the on button or where the heat adjustment is, just poorly marked. Maybe in invisible ink. Also the self stand is puny and not really balanced right to keep the iron from tipping its red hot tip down onto any flat surface you might want to rest the thing on. So Im buying a different one now, one with a cool to the touch tip. Hopefully my hair will still come out shiny and soft.

Lightweight styler

Pros: - lightweight and super easy to hold - pretty color - comfortable and useful temp switch (suitable for one handed operation) Cons: - the brush is Not detachable so you can't use it as a regular hair dryer

This is a styler. Not a blow dryer. Works wonderfully!

This is a styler. Not a blow dryer. Many people complain it’s not a very good blow dryer. It’s not meant to be a blow dryer. It’s for styling your hair after you use your blow dryer to rough dry your hair about 90% dry. You then use the styler to smooth and style your hair the way you want it. I have frizzy hair if I just blow dry with a round brush. This styler smooths away my frizz. I get salon smoothness at home, and I’m no hair expert. It’s a similar product to the Revlon one step, but doesn’t get as hot ( less damaging to your hair) and it’s much quieter and easier to use. This is the third one of these I’ve had over the last 10 years. The original one had the John Frieda name on it and now they are just called Infinity Pro Styler by Conair. Even my old John Frieda was made by Conair. It’s exactly the same, just rebranded. It’s lightweight, so easy to travel with. I have a brand new one in reserve for when my current one wears out. I love it that much. I don’t ever want to be without it.

Slow to dry/Very hot

While the product is lightweight and a little quieter than my other brush dryer. It didn’t work very well for me. It took much longer to dry my hair and seemed a bit hot, maybe too hot. The plastic seems a little on the cheaper side and I’m afraid if I drop it on the floor it just might fall apart. I would say this dryer would be useful for someone that has shorter hair and doesn’t require much time to dry their hair or needs something a little lighter.

Doesn’t last

It does a great job. Until it dies. I purchased this in October 22 and it died in April 23. This is the second one I only use it twice weekly at the most. And keep it free of hair and lint. Very disappointed

Smooth shiny hair!

I had one for ages and it started running a little slower. Saw this one and it’s exactly like my older one - when I say older I have had it for 10+ years! I love the different heat settings and use the cool shot to “ set” my hair. It’s not so hair it damages your hair, but it dries it. I usually use is on semi towel dries hair, my hair is baby fine with a wave. It only take a few moments and I have the walk out of the Alain blow out look! It’s soft, shiny and I can wear it days without a wash or upkeep. My only thing I wish was a little better, until you get use to the slide type of button - on/ off switch it takes a few to get the setting you want.

Works well on my fine frizzy hair

This is my first hot air brush, that's why I went for a Conair instead of one of the pricey ones! It works pretty well for a smooth blow out with some curl to it. I have European hair, fine and frizzy on the ends. It doesn't have a ton of drying power, I think if your hair is more thick or coarse it would probably take a long time to dry it. But for me it works great, easier than a blow dryer and a round brush!

Love these.

I love these brush dryers/curlers. Make drying your hair and styling your hair at the same time so quick. This smaller one is great for shorter hair but as your hair get longer you might like the larger version. Saves a lot of time.
