Great pot

I got one that someone returned for a discounted rate. It had a few cosmetic dings that did not effect the pot itself or the fitting of the lid. I LOVE this pot. I cook sauces, soups, and have boiled pasta in it as well. It has performed beautifully. It says dishwasher safe, but I ALWAYS handwash pots, pans & lids. My only complaint is that the handles get very hot as they are directly part of the pot. Like cast iron, you will need a pot holder to hold it in place if you're stirring something thick.

The useful, big flat bottom on this pan is gone/ has been changed! @

I ordered this pan to replace a imusa, 6.9 qt pan. My current “old” imusa pan is showing signs of wear and tear after many years of cooking in it. I loved this pan, it was my “go to” pan for soup. I could sauté/ brown food first because it had a huge flat bottom but nice round edges. I could even do a nice pot roast with all the onions, carrots, etc. BAD NEWS for me anyway! The replacement which photo looks exactly like my current pan is not what I received! It is labeled as 6.9 qt.BUT It’s not the same shape. It is very round, the bottom has only a small flat area for browning / sauté. It also has uneven coating of nonstick material so there is a small lump. It is going back! I did not measure the amount of liquid it holds to compare it to my current (worn out) pan. However, I highly doubt it holds the same amount of liquid. The company made a new smaller pan to save money? It even fits inside my current “old” pan I went to the imusa website but it is in Spanish or ? the English tab was not helpful. Sorry but the original model of this pan that appears on Amazon (that’s like my “old”pan is not what you get! It is slightly different! I’m very disappointed.

I have 2 of these pots and love them.

I use them to make rice, sweet patatoes, fry, saute, etc. I can put a lot of stuff in them and they are heavy enough they cook evenly.

Great pot...for the price.

I wanted a deep frying pan but didn't want the long handle. This seemed like it would serve my needs. When it arrived I picked up the shipping box and was very surprised at how light it was! This pan has no weight to it at all, it's extremely light. So I was nervous about it's abilities. I washed it up and tried it out, making a Thai beef bowl recipe. It browned the ground beef well, no sticking, and there was still plenty of room for all the veggies that were to be cooked in the same pan as the beef. Everything cooked evenly and clean up was a breeze as nothing stuck at all. I took away one star because the handles get smoking hot! There is no way you can touch the handles while the pot is hot, so every time I needed to stir I had to put on an oven mitt. The upside of the handles being metal is that it should be totally oven safe. Overall, for less than $40 this is a decent pot. Not expecting it to last a decade or anything at that price point but if I get a year or so of regular use I'll be happy.

Handles do get hot but to be able to put in oven that has to be....
