I cut the side of my finger and half of my nail so got this gripper to keep what is left of my fingers safe. I love it works great. Yes I would recommend this to everyone who uses a cutter before anything happens like it did for me.

Where have you been all my life?!

This is a BRILLIANT tool! I saw a YouTuber using this (was not a sponsored post) and my mind was blown! I instantly paused the video and went searching. Once I got the package, I ripped open the box, attached the handle to my ruler and held it up high in the air as if it was Excalibur! (I think I heard angels singing softly in the distance) I ran upstairs to show my husband and giggled with delight. Silliness aside, not only does it help with steadiness of cutting, it has been a back saver for me.

It works

I had a similar device years ago that I ended up throwing away because it just wouldn't hold on to anything. This one has not actually been used on a quilting ruler yet but I set it down on a smooth table and it wanted to go right to work. The levers are kind of stiff and hard to push down for us older ladies but it isn't something that you change a lot anyway. Everything said, it looks like it will be a winner......just be careful where you set it down ;-)

For me, this is much bigger than I thought it would be. Works ok on my 6 x 24 ruler, but I still require a weight on the top end of my ruler. Granted, this may just be what I require, all of us have different results. It does hold on to the ruler without any problems.

Works like a charm, gives me more control over cutting and less chance of the ruler slipping as the weight is evenly distributed as I placed it in the middle of the ruler distributing the pressure on the ruler over almost its entirety. Its great for my 6 inch wide ruler, wouldn't work on 4 inch as the suction cups are 4 inches. I would love to buy another one if they sell them in smaller sizes for my smaller rulers. A quilters must if you're ruler cutting a lot.

Too big for some templates.

Works really well on patchwork templates, but far too big. I couldn’t work out how big it was and found it was unsuitable for smaller templates.

Great but ...

This product is great and I bought it because I can no longer maintain the pressure on my fabric ruler. That said I recently decided to get another one to work with another large template I used. This time I bought a suction handle from a mobility shop ( the type of thing to help you get out of the bath?) very similar product, equally as effective - fraction of the cost.

Great suction and comfortable handle!

This handle works really well to hold down my quilting rulers. Comfortable handle so you can put even pressure on the fabric to cut straight. Gives you more control.
