GREAT FOR SMALL DOGS

I read the reviews after I received it and saw that most buyers complained that it was too small for their dog's ashes. My dog was 20 pounds and his ashes fit perfectly, so it's ideal for a smaller dog. If you have a larger dog, you'll only be able to store some of his ashes in the bag/box provided (maybe scatter the rest at his favorite dog park or at the beach?). SELLER: YOU COULD PROBABLY SELL MORE OF THESE AND GET BETTER REVIEWS IF YOU MADE THEM DEEPER TO HOLD ALL THE ASHES OF LARGER DOGS. I found the quality to be great, but I was disappointed that the color of the frame is really more of a reddish dark brown than black, which is what I wanted and what it appeared to be in the photo. SELLER, THE COLOR OF THE FRAME SHOULD BE ADDED TO THE DESCRIPTION PLEASE. Overall, this was the perfect box to display the plaster of paris footprint provided by the crematory, his leash, a photo, and his dog collar. There's no way to attach these items to the backing of the boxed areas, so I used Goop to glue the end of his collar down and 3M's Dual Lock Tape (kind of a 2-part velcro fastener) which worked great to hold everything in place. You could also use hot glue, I think, to glue items in place so they're displayed nicely and don't rattle around. The box can be hung on the wall, displayed on a shelf, or layed flat on a shelf for storage. ADDED LATER: I just realized that there indeed were Velcro strips included inside the box for ashes! This is great news, just wish I'd seen them sooner! I would highly recommend this though. It's way better than some other options and would make a great gift for someone who just lost their best friend.

A Nice Way to Remember a Beloved Pet

This item was a great way to remember Misty. I just wish the ash container was larger. I rated this 4 stars but it merited 4-1/2 to 4-3/4.

Beautiful idea, but the design and description needs great improvement

This looked to be a great idea for a pet urn and it is pictured nicely, but when I received the product, the workmanship was very shoddy, especially for the price that was charged. The finish was clean and color consistent, but the joints where not flush and it was possible to see objects clean through them, not just light. The nails used at the joints showed and were actually bent as though the person putting it together had missed when trying to strike the nail. The plastic that was used for the shadow box was glued in place very sloppily and had oozed out onto the wood. It should have been wiped clean as it was applied. The piece of wood that was used to separate and hold the items in the shadow box was covered with a nice fabric and the idea was a good one, but again it was not put together with the care it deserved and would have been a really nice item if care had been taken putting it together. The biggest problem with this item was the bag that was provided for the ashes was extremely small (almost a snack-size Ziploc): (PLEASE pardon the description, but I am trying to convey a size that is familiar). The size would have made it necessary for me or my son to open and scoop out his dog's ashes from the urn we received from the vet's office and place only a small portion in the bag provided, leaving almost all of the ashes left in the urn from the vet's office with no other option for storage or disposal. It would be devastating for him to open and try to decide just how much of Beau to put in the shadow box. The designer has a beautiful idea, but it needs to be tweaked a little so it can accommodate larger animals or at least describe the amount of ashes this product can accommodate so the buyer knows they will have to make other arrangements for the remaining ashes of their pet. In general; price too high for the workmanship (we would have waited longer for a better quality, making it worth the price); more care needs to be put into the construction; beautiful idea but needs improvement/or better description of product so buyers have a better idea of the product. Materials were marginal-not worthy of the price.

Piece of Junk

Fell apart taking it out of the box. Tried to glue it together again but fell off of wall and broke. Don't waste your money.

My problem with was the backing of the shadow box the padding is too thick and i'm going to get a tack hammerand wood glue to get it to fit right also padding for each of the individual little boxes for things don't flop around.
