Great basic funnel for the price
After lots of careful consideration (I.e. browsing random stuff on Amazon for hours), I purchased this funnel specifically for filtering my homemade limoncello and arancello. Another reviewer stated that they had used it with #2 sized coffee filters, and I thought that would be perfect for my needs. So I ordered both the funnel and filters, along with a ton of other awesome stuff I probably don't need, and it all arrived two days later. Yay Amazon Prime. The nitty gritty about the funnel: it's sturdy, well made, and the strainer stays securely in place. It looks exactly like the picture, and does not feel flimsy or chintzy at all. It's easy to clean, and seats well in all of my awesome canning jars. Even the smaller, half-liter size. Definitely worth the $10 price tag. Now for the warning to those who wish to use this funnel along with coffee filters to make delightful homemade infusions: I decided to test out my funnel + coffee filter apparatus before attempting to filter all three liters of extracted goodness, wanting to optimize the process and not waste a drop of my precious liquid sunshine. This was a fortunate decision on my part, as I decided to begin with filtering delicious, bacon-infused bourbon. I then proceeded to dump nearly the entire half liter all over my countertops. The compatibility of the funnel with #2 sized cone filters is a dirty, dirty lie! I had to hold the filters during the entire filtering process; if I let go, the filter would tip over, spilling the entire (unfiltered!) contents down the funnel or on the counter, and I had to start all over again. NOT good. Finally, I finished filtering the bacon-infused bourbon, but vowed to find a better way. Since I don't own a coffee maker that requires filters, I had no clue where to start. So I scoured Amazon (I.e. browsed even more random stuff) for other filters and compared dimensions. I finally settled on the basket-style Melitta filters, and ended up buying both the junior 4-6 cup size, as well as the regular 8-12 cup size at Target. (What can I say? I'm impatient. Plus they were like $1.50 for 200.) After trying multiple configurations, the way that worked best for me was to have the strainer in place, with two regular 8-12 cup size coffee filters on top. I was originally worried that the pull tab for the strainer would pierce the filters, but they were very sturdy and I didn't have any issues with perforation. When I finally ended up filtering my limoncello and arancello, I was pretty much a pro at the whole filtering thing, the process took much less time than I anticipated. I can't wait to make more delicious booze! For those of you with Amazon Review ADD, the CliffsNotes version: Funnel is awesome. Buy it. To finely filter stuff, use regular-sized, basket-style Melitta coffee filters with it. Leave the strainer in place. Yes, even with the pull tab sticking up. No, it won't pierce the filters. Yes, I promise. Use 2 filters nested together. Replace with 2 more when they get clogged up. Repeat until you're happy with the result. Thank me for the great advice. Send me samples of your delicious, nicely filtered booze.

Perfect for filtering used deep fryer oil into 1 gallon glass jar
Purchased a deep fryer on Amazon that uses 1 gallon of oil. Also bought 1 gallon glass jar with lid (thick glass). Needed something more than regular funnel. Purchased this due to shape, size and built in filtering (non removable. Also came with cheese cloth, haven't used cloth yet. Works perfectly for intended use. Place in mouth of 1 gallon jar, slowly pour in luke warm used cooking oil from fryer. Filters out chunks, etc. I always stop before pouring in last bit from fryer tray to funnel. I stop when I start to see small pieces. Without using cheese cloth, I only get a very small amount of fine particles in bottom of storage jar. No big deal! When I re-use the oil, I stop pouring into fryer when I reach the sediment in bottom of jar. Then clean out with paper towels. Works great and easy. Have re-used same fryer oil 7 times, still clean with no foam when cooking. I keep original container oil was in for disposal after its time to refresh oil. This funnel works perfectly for what I needed it for! Just ordered 2 more. 1 for when I make chicken soup broth from real boiled chicken. Will also use cheese cloth for that. 2nd one will go in stash box. Funny thing is at $10 each, I paid $20 + tax for 2 funnels. Yet the 2 pack is $27 + tax, doesn't make sense but whatever. This is an excellent perfect size funnel for the kitchen. Well made stainless and easy to clean. I spray it with 50/50 vinegar & water in spray bottle, let sit a couple minutes. Then hand wash with Dawn, comes out perfectly clean, no oil residue.

Good quality funnel
I like that the funnel has a removable strainer that allows removal of larger particles when making tinctures.

Stuck on stickers :/
There were two product stickers on the item that were so old, it took ¼ bottle of goo gone, a hour of my time, and some serious elbow grease to get them off. I like this company and have other items, but they shouldn’t put those stickers on any of their items.

The funnel fits securely enough into any of my bottles to be easy to use
This works well for filtering water kefir grains out or for adding flavors to my bottled water kefir for the second ferment. The narrow part of the funnel fits well into my swing top bottles (I have a few different types, but I generally use bottles similar to these if it won't be building too much pressure:Bormioli Rocco Moresca Bottle, 33.75 oz, Clear ). The indented part of the funnel doesn't reach all the way to the top of the bottle, so I do have to lift the funnel a bit to allow air to escape and the bottle to fill, but that isn't any trouble. Some of my narrower necked swing top bottles are so narrow that only part of the tip (and thus only the indented part of the funnel) fit into the bottle and with those bottles the funnel does not need to be lifted in order or the bottle to fill. The funnel fits securely enough into any of my bottles to be easy to use. Overall, this is a great, easy to clean funnel that works great for my needs.

This will last forever!
I just got it and already used it about 20 times. I just love stainless steel. I love that stainless leaves no odor or taste and can handle the beatings I put on my household items. Particularly nice is the little filter that attaches to the neck on the inside. It gets out most of the little stuff. The rest I get out using a microscreen. This one has a little flat spot just above the hole for putting that miroscreen into. A very nice weight means it doesn't fall out of the jars I funnel into, even when full. It sits very stable. It even has a little air gap crimp built into the neck to release air pressure when funneling into a narrow-mouthed bottle, but I haven't used that yet so can't vouch for its utility. I probably have 10 funnels--some metal, some plastic, in a variety of shapes and sizes, but this one is already, in just a few weeks, becoming the one I go searching for first. Highly recommend Very well-designed product
