Works good

Good function, but controls are a bit confusing.
This seems to be a very good quality unit. It will turn a vent fan on or off based on temperature or relative humidity, and the fan-speed (hi,med,low) is moderated automatically. The battery powered remote control will show the temperature at the remotely controlled 110v socket (called attic) or at the location of the remote control. Manual override allows the fan to be run at any time and at any of the available speeds. There is a slight delay between selecting a speed configuration and the fan adopting the new settings; this delay is necessary as configuration of the settings uses a round-robin menu which advances through all settings before returning to the start. The operation of the control is not intuitive, which is a shame, as there are numerous well labeled keys which have unecessarily limited, non-intuitive functionality. The power unit is solid, and has temperature and humidity sensors. The remote control has a wall mounted holder which works well. The remote itself is light-weight, and has an "inexpensive" feel to it. The remote goes into a low-power sleep mode which is probably great for saving batteries, but when in this mode there is no useful information displayed on the units screen; you must press the power button once to wake the control up, after which you can see attic or room temperatures (press the temp button to toggle between them), and also see the current relative humidity. You can also set either or both -- minimum temperature, or minimum temperature and minimum relative humidity values that are used to trigger fan activity. The fan will start to run when the temperature or humidity exceeds one of these minimum values. All in all it seems to be a good unit, but it could be improved with a little better software for the controller.

Works Great for my purpose
I purchased this from Amazon Warehouse for a good price. I use it to control the fan in my Camping Trailer. It operates flawlessly. I turn on the fan before going into the trailer and at night. It is nice to have the option to lower the speed of the fan so that it is quieter at night. The controller is nice being wireless so I can operate it without going into the trailer.

great remote
This is a great remote but it would be nice if it actually could turn things on and off at preset times. All it does is turn off x hours from when you turn it on so its not a set it and forget it control - time wise and thats how i use it. I do not use the temp or humidity controls . unfortunately the temp/humidity sensors are in the box/remote and there is no provision for installing remote sensors. But, it save me from having to go out and manually turn the stuff on so I like it but it could be better!

Does not retain memory after power outage.
Overall, the "Smart" controller perform as advertised, however we were using this in a shed far away from the house. After a power failure it did not restart. Not very "Smart". To reset it you must use the remote which needs to be close to the fan controller or in our case, the shed. NO WHERE IN THE AMAZON DESCRIPTION DOES IT MENTION THAT IT WILL NEED TO BE RESET AFTER A POWER FAILURE! A major inconvenience when you need to reset it especially when you are trying to keep things cool, the very reason you bought it in the first place.

WiFi Attic Fan Thermo/Humidistat Controler
I like the idea of this plug & play thermo/humidistat fan controller, but 1 out of the 3 purchased has failed twice within days of install. It is a recommended controller supplied by the same folks who also supplied the fans I am using them on. They work great on the 2 10” fans from iLiving, but keep failing on my 24” iLiving fan. This could be that the 24” fan is too much for these units. I do wish there were another like it to control my larger attic exhaust fan wirelessly & plug & play like this controller for a similar price...

Worked for 1 month and stopped working. Return window closed
This worked great for one month. Loved it but then it stopped working. It would not turn fan on and off auto or manual. Amazon return is now closed. I will contact ELiving. I will update review if I get satisfaction. I used it with the ELiving 10" fan so that should not have been a problem. Update: I talked to them and they were very friendly and going to replace this unit. I will update when that occurs. I do Love this product. Update: I received a new product and it is working great. The company was very responsive and did send out a new unit.

Even my old 1980 alarm clock does not lose it time after a power outage
I am very disapointed about this "smart" remote control kit. No where it is mention that it will NOT COME BACK after a power lost. Even a small one. I confirm with iLIVING support and it works this way. So this is absolute JUNK. I think this is my worst review of all I made. Make you a favor and buy a 5$ normal heating thermostat (yes the yellish one with the knob) you'll be better than this "smart" one. And I can't put a light UPS on it because my fan is 1/3hp. If you use it in a greenhouse or somewhere that you have to rely on it will let you down one day or the other. Keywords purpose: power outage, power lost, electricity lost.
