Good Hinge, cheap Phillips head screws

The Hinges are heavy and well-made, they look great. But, the Phillips head screws are a non-starter. How can you add a nice hinge with cheap looking screws? It is like making fine furniture with pocket holes.

Superb hinges; God-awful screws

These are beautiful hinges! Extremely well made. But whatever you do, do not, under any circumstance, use the screws that come in the box. For all I know, they're just made from chromed lard. Even after drilling a slightly undersized hole and waxing the first screw, the head broke off when the screw was only halfway in. And I wasn't even needing to use much torque. In fact, I didn't even know the head twisted almost entirely off at first because I was being so careful. After about 20 minutes of delicate work with a couple of different pliers, I was able to get the screw out without marring my cabinet door. I then bought a pack of proper screws at the hardware store. All that said, these are fantastic hinges and I would buy them again. And I have bought more. But there is no reason at all to keep the screws. I wouldn't use them for any job ever. Seriously, just throw them away so you don't accidentally try to use them for another job later.

Excellent quality and appearance

The media could not be loaded. BEAUTIFUL chrome hinges. They look AND feel very high-end, because they are very shiny and have a good solid weight to them. They function very well and are smooth. We redid this piece of furniture so hung them as the previous hinges were done (I say this because I think how I hung them is not usually how they’re done). Very happy with the purchase. Delivered prime and quickly too! note- we drilled pilot holes before screwing in the screws to be safe and that did fine. We wanted to make sure to use the screws that came with them bc it matched the finish well and in our case would be seen.

Great quality and authentic looking Ball Hinges!

Great quality hinge. I purchased these for our pantry project. My wife had bought some less expensive ball hinges and the pin and barrel had way too much play (got what she paid for unfortunately). The pin and barrel on these hinges do not have play in them and are made of heavier gauge brass. These black ball hinges are very authentic looking and are going to look and perform great on the cabinets! I will definitely be ordering more!

Nice quality of hinge....weak screws.

The quality of the hinge is very good, but the screws are weak and have a tendency to break at the head of the screw. Was able to save the project with another more durable screw.

Good quality hinges.

For me these are good quality hinges at a good price. They are solid and well made. The finial balls are removable to enable removal of the hinge pins. The pins are lubricated, but the lubricant was very sticky and the balls were hard to remove, so I chose to install the hinges without removing the pins. They operate smoothly on the two cabinet doors I built. The countersinks for the screws allow the screws to sit properly in the hinge. Their brass finish is nice.
