Really poor design for installation
I got this fan and two other fans by a different brand to replace two 35 year old fans in my house and add a fan in a bathroom that didn't have one. Overall I found installing this fan to be highly aggravating, far more time consuming (by hours), and it was a two person job at multiple points whereas installing the other fans by another brand was so much easier and was a one person job. These are the issues I ran into: There are no tabs or clips to hold the fan on the ceiling drywall, so you have to hold the fan in the ceiling cutout at the right height as you screw it to a joist. At that point, installation can become a two person job. It definitely was a two person job at that point for us. In my situation, I had to install the fan against a joist by using the screw holes in the side of the housing. This meant that I couldn't use the included installation rails (which only work if you have access above the fan) because they were too short. The rails only work if you're placing the fan in about the middle between joists. So since I couldn't use the rails on one side, and since there's no tabs to hold the fan onto the ceiling drywall, the fan housing sags down on one side in the ceiling since it's only held up on on side. As a result, when I mount the light fixture, it clearly is flush against the ceiling on one side and hangs down from the ceiling on the other side about 1/8 - 1/4 inch. Plus, the screw holes in the fan housing to mount it to a joist were two inches above the joist. The fan is designed to be mounted to 6 inch joists, which I don't think it mentioned in the instructions, but my attic has 4 inch joists. So we had to cut a 2x4 board and brace it on top of the joist so we could screw the fan to that. There's a cable connector/cable strain preventer that's required but not included (instructions say not included). Attaching the light housing to the fan likely has to be a two person job; it was for me. You have to align holes in the light to fit over screws hanging down from the fan, and hold the light fixture up while screwing on some screw caps, and some of the screws are in such small places that they're really hard to get your hands or tools into. The fixture will only take short lightbulbs because of a metal tab that's specifically put in the way to prevent you from putting in a standard length lightbulb for some reason. I could cut off the tab and use regular lightbulbs at some point. The glass shade twists onto the fixture, and is really difficult to turn. Now that we have it on, we can't get it off. We tried to untwist it, but it won't budge. Instead of simply twisting on and off, there are clips that pop into a slot on the shade when you twist it onto the fixture. Seems like maybe we have to somehow use a flat screwdriver to hold the clips out in order to unscrew the shade. Two of us on ladders couldn't do it. So we gave up and will save that for whenever we need to change the bulb. Overall, a really terrible installation process. I would have quit at the beginning and returned this, but my fiancee really likes the look of the fan/light. She wanted a fan that didn't look like a fan, but rather looks like a light. Beyond the installation hassles, the inside parts of the light housing reflect off the nickel finish in the opening above the light shade, so it doesn't look quite as nice as in the product photos. The nickel finish is close enough to a mirror finish that it looks like we can see into the light fixture, but it's actually reflections of cut outs, stickers, wires reflecting off the nickel. The sone rating is a lot higher than the other fans I got (3 vs. 1 and .8) but I don't find it to be loud. Not whisper quiet, but not loud. Sort of average/normal fan. Quieter than the old fans we had. We hear it in the bathroom, which is fine, barely hear it in the hall right outside the bathroom with the door shut, and don't hear it further down the hall with the door shut.

Nice looking light, but not fully functional
The light looks great! The nightlight feature does not work though, that is disappointing.

Beautiful
This looks great but the fan doesn't work as well as I had hoped. We had to add a tower fan for extra air circulation.

Looks nice but not fully functional
I purchase this exhaust light for the bathroom it came with a piece of glass missing on the side or maybe that’s the design. My contractor upon installation realize that there was a wire defect so the night light portion does not work. I have a big project and deadlines to meet so I just left it installed. They got me!
