Suit is great and durable but square hood not so good.

I got this suit last year but then wasn’t able to start bee keeping until this spring. I have used the suite few times and it’s comfortable, easy to wear, and durable. Couple of things I don’t like about the square hood that made it 3 stars: the mesh bends and touches my ears and nose at time when I move my head or bend down. I like to work calmly but with issue I get paranoid of bees stings through the mesh. Second issue is that because the hood is square the corners create visual obstruction on both sides. It’s very distracting unless you look straight in the front. Obviously my return window is expired so I have to find an alternative.

Thick enough to protect, to tight to squat

Couldn't believe the price, for the quality. I ordered this being that I work for a pest control company. I see how pricey they can be for the making of this brand and suit. The only problem is that I was going to order an XL to be on the safe side. I am 5'7 and if I stand and walk it fits fine. When I squat it almost feels as if it is going to rip. I mainly handle yellow jackets standing up. The other thing is that the face mesh will touch your nose so you may have to use a cap to keep it away. Other than that it comes with zippers along the ankles to be able to fit through your shoes which is awesome.

OUTSTANDING CUSTOMER SERVICE

My first impression out of the package is this beekeeping suit is a piece of junk that won't last more than a couple months. Starting with the veil, it arrived falling apart. Straight out of the plastic packaging, one of the supports is torn from the seam. Lots of frayed material as well suggesting this was a poorly made product that should have never passed any semblance of quality control. The suit itself is decently made with numerous pockets for any tools you made need. Side zippers along the ankles for easy donning and doffing and loops for thumbs and feet to hold the suit in place are nice. I have contacted the seller regarding the veil, I will update regarding what they plan to do to correct sending a reject veil. 6/2/17: Since my original review, Aubrey with Humble Bee customer service worked magnificently to rectify the issue. Humble Bee has definitely earned my trust and future business. I highly recommend fellow beekeepers to give this company a try.

I got a large so I could wear it over ...

I got a large so I could wear it over clothes for extra protection and, for that, it fits perfectly. I was wearing overalls and a long sleeve denim shirt under the suit. I went out to spray the wasps and was not the least bit worried about being stung. It got 4 stars because, while I didn't get stung, I did get stuck...as in punctured/pricked not once but 3 times by the screen in the headpiece. There were several random edges of cut screen sticking out at a 90 degree angle from the mask along the edges where the screen is sewn into the fabric. Bleeding finger. Ouch.

I first ordered a fencing veil and it rubbed my nose and the little stingers were a bit too close to my face for comfort. I returned that and ordered this and can't be happier. The little stingers stay well away from my face now and I don't have to keep checking if one is on the face netting. The material is a good thickness. I usually wear L to XL and I bought a large and it is big on me but that is ok, I don't swim in it. The measurements said I should get a small or medium. I believe a medium would have worked but was a bit hesitant for it to be to small.

It works if you keep bees give it a try.

Bought this for my dad he likes the square Vail. It's the second one I've bought for him he keeps bees and removes them from peoples homes and bussiness. He likes the fit he says it's not too lose or too tight it fits just right.

Great quality

Well made and works well in cool weather. But on a hot sunny day it's not ventilated enough. If you are allergic to bees or just a little scared, this is the suit for you. Also regular price is high so watch for sale. I paid around $25. After a year I bought the better ventilated version from Humble Bee. Also was able to pick it up for around $25. I love it:)
