Easy to install

The surface mount push button is a wonderful product. I easily connected it to the Honeywell Wireless Doorbell, and it functions perfectly. My only concern is the difficulty to open it. I made, possibly the same mistake of a lot of other people, and broke one of the interior plastic part, looking how to open it.

good replacement

my honeywell doorbell frame broke when taking off the doorbell to change the battery and i couldnt find just the frame to purchase so im glad i could just buy the doorbell instead of the entire package with the speaker. i had the white one so black is a nicer choice. just need to be more careful when taking off the doorbell.

Received a broken one, but the 2nd works great.

I had to return the first one because the tabs that hold the push button to the backing plate were broken so the button could not be installed. I returned the button and as usual, the return process was painless. I received the new button, programmed it, installed it and it is working great. The Honeywell Series 9 wireless doorbell is the most cost effective system I have seen to date.

Bought this one to replace the original doorbell button. Worked with no issues on my Series 5. Definitely worthwhile to keep this wireless doorbell going.

SHOULD NOT BE SOLD IN THE UK

DO NOT BUY THIS DOORBELL IF YOU LIVE IN THE UK. I have a 3 series Honeywell Chime Set that is white, and bought this button to work with it - as it says compatible in the listing. In fact the button is from the USA and not compatible with any Honeywell device in the UK. When it failed to pair, I called Honeywell themselves and they said they do not sell or supply a black push button in the UK, and that the product would not function with any other products sold here. It’s pretty frustrating that Amazon shows the product for sale in the UK with nearly 5 star reviews, all of which come from other territories. If you only look at the UK reviews they will all tell you it doesn’t work. Unfortunately for me, I didn’t read those first.

Not compatable

Be aware, this bell push which claims to be compatible with series 3,5 and 9 chimes transmits its signal on frequency well in excess of 900mhz but the chimes receive on a frequency of 868mhz so they can never communicate with each other. The transmit frequency of the bell push is not identified in the description. To return the item is quite a task as it actually comes from the States and involves a UPS overseas export procedure and then a wait for them to receive it back before a refund happens.
