Good quality buy

I've used this jacket for glassblowing and welding for about 3 years now and it is still going strong. I haven't had any problems with the buttons pulling off as some others have mentioned, though they can be a bit clunky and difficult to snap/unsnap sometimes. It might run a tiny bit small but not enough for me to need a larger size. This product has been dependable at a good price and is all that I have needed.

Good coverage and protection

As most people said, I ordered the jacket that was a size up - L - from my actual size (medium). Leather is thick and it fits me very well and offers nice protection. But as others have said, the snaps are very hard to close and open and I could see where they may tear right off. That is the only reason I didn't give it the fifth star. And even though it's made in Pakistan, it was nice to get something NOT made in China.

very satisfied

i ordered this jacket for my son who is taking welding in school... he came home saying the other students said they paid $100 at a store that was suggested from the teacher. this is the same jacket for a great price... $50... much better than the other price. i am so glad we looked on amazon. i read the review saying to order a bigger size than usual, so we did, and it fits perfect! (i wrote this review during my sons 1st year of welding at school. i would like to add the update that he is in his second year now and the jacket is holding up perfectly)

Definately Protective

This jacket does what it is designed to do. It is heavy leather which will protect you in almost any situation. The fit is one size small so order up one size. You also want a little extra room to move your arms and get a little air circulation. The heavy leather is very hot. You will not want to wear this for long or in a hot and humid environment.

comfortably flawed

ive been a welder for many years.ive only had one other leather jacket because they dont really go bad. the only reason i bought another one is i left my previous at a job in north dakota. i was in a pinch and needed one fast. tis jacket is a soft leather and the sleeves are not lined so it may be a little cooler then others. the arm length is perfect and the top snap of the collar fits tight around your neck if your overhead welding. the down side is that the cuffs of the sleeves are HUGE. I added a couple rivets to snug them up. however after only a few days of work the bottom two snaps broke. the didnt pull through, the female ends broke off the outer snaps. i see a few other people have had problems also so unless your willing to make the repairs id go with a different brand. sometimes you only get what you pay for.

Not Sturdy

This jacket was great at first sight. Fit wonderful, protected form welding burns like a champ. But after a few weeks the bottom button snapped off. These are the snap on buttons, and the little metal part just broke off. It wasn't a big deal at first, but then they all started breaking off. Now this jacket is just to protect the arms since the missing buttons has rendered it nearly useless. At least I didn't pay too much for it.

Nice but small

This is a nice jacket but you need to order a size bigger than what you usually use. I ordered large thinking it would be fine but it fits like a medium. I should have gotten an extra large.

everything garbage except the leather

8 snaps ripped off the first time I opened them. absolute Garbage DO NOT BUY! leather is ok and fit is ok to be fair.
