Decent lightweight aluminum clamp
Decent right angle clamp built with aluminum jaws, and steel threads. Plenty of clearance for getting the joint spot welded, and the center clamping piece 'floats' so it will hold pieces of different thicknesses at a precise right angle. In fact, the aluminum seems to be powder coated smoothly enough to be able to hold pieces together for things like wooden picture frames, without marring them, at least until you use them as welding clamps and get weld spatter on them. There is even enough clearance for a nail gun, to tack the pieces together, if you would want. Precisely made, I consider these to kind of fudge the line between light duty and medium duty as far as welding clamps go. I checked the angle with a machinist's square, and it was right on. Great for small or precision projects. I would even consider them for woodworking projects, where a right angle clamp would be needed.

Great value if you work for it
When the clamp arrived, the triangle block set screw was loose, so it fell apart right off the bat. 2 screws and some red Locktite solved that issue in short order. As many have said, the fences are not true, there is 0.030" difference top to bottom. I took 2 pieces of 28ga steel and made shims that go half way down. Epoxied them in so they stay put. Now everything clamped is level and plumb. It does seem to be durable enough for hobbyists, easy to use, well worth the price - but you have to work for it.

They were not a good value even at that price
These cost me $5 less each when I bought 4 of them 2 years ago. They were not a good value even at that price. I still have and use them occasionally but only because I use them very gently. They are flimsy! You could easily ruin this tool just tightening it a little too much. Others have said cast aluminum, but I think they are die-cast zinc or pot metal? Anyways, the stationary jaws are hollow and about 1/16" wall thickness. They look solid and thick from the photo. They are NOT heavy or sturdy and not precise. They can do the job for you with light square tubing, especially if you use them at all 4 corners at once. Just use them lightly...This type of tool can really be a time saver. I think they'd be all but useless for thick wall pipe.... The ones I really wanted cost four times as much, so I got these to save money. Money sure doesn't go very far anymore....

I like this product, doing all expected it to do. Works great.

Not worth it for tubing fab
The clamp wants to twist the tubing. It will hold the pieces at 90 degrees however it will not hold them flat if tightened at all. I suspect it would work fine for plate, flat stock or rod. I have an idea to modify that might help solve the issue but as is I can't reccomend.

Have not bought yet - but supplying others with dimensions
The mfg website doesn't even show the dimensions of the size of the T and miter joints you can make with this, so I called Hobart. They had to pull one out of the box to do the measurements - T-joint max - 2 15/16 Miter joint max - 2 15/16 Wow...if that's correct, that's REALLY impressive for the cost. The WAC45 Stronghold doesn't allow for that much, and they are ~ $100 each. ------------------ FOLLOW UP - once I got the product, I found out that NO, the measurements given to me ARE NOT RIGHT for the T-JOINT. MAX T JOINT - Yes, the continuous piece can be up to 2 15/16. HOWEVER, the perpendicular piece can only be MAX 1 3/4"

helps to create true 90 degree corners.
this works well for spot welding corners. It has really helped with my accuracy to create a 90 corner. Take a minute to set your pieces up in it and it will pay dividends. I've read reviews of it breaking and I see no evidence of this being a problem. I do not crank it down hard, just snug enough to hold my pieces in place for spot welding. I will be purchasing a second to speed up projects.

Seems a little flimsy
Not the best quality. It is square at the holding walls. The device feels like if I tighten too much it will break… you wanna make sure it’s tight when welding so it remains square, but this feels like it might break if it’s used too much.

Sólo sirve bien en perfiles de diámetro pequeño
No tiene la rigidez suficiente para perfiles con diámetro mayor a 2". Funciona bien únicamente para perfiles delgados. Ello justifica el bajo costo.

I used four of these clamps for welding a 2” square steel tube rectangle table frame together. They worked great for holding the rectangle together while I tacked my welds. There are more durable sturdy clamps on the market but you have to pay a lot for them compared to these.

Amateur tool
Very flimsy and lightweight. The right angled ram that holds the work fell off with the second use. Was fixable but not impressive
