HIDBEA is the better buy

I bought this and therabitgoo to try them both out. They both work well and are pretty easy to install, altho it takes getting used to. First, you want to clean the window with alcohol or window cleaner. Let it dry. You want the pieces cut to size, but a little over. I tried to measure and cut to size, but that left me a little short. Its better to cut a little over and then use a very sharp utility knife (I mean a fresh blade) to cut it down to size on the window. Next step, is to wet the window. I recommend a spray bottle. Then, peel off the backing and spray that side as well. Then it will stick on easily and almost attach itself. After that, you want to press out the bubbles with a cloth or a squeegee or spatula, anything. You can buy a tool for it, but you dont need to. It only took a few minutes and most of my work looks great. You probably could measure precisely and cut it on a measuring board or use a cricut, but overcutting works well enough. I also recommend mapping out all your windows on graph paper or something so you can figure out the best pattern. I wasted a bit of plastic from inefficient cut layouts. Both this and rabbitgoo are the same quality and size and everything. The reason I liked HIDBEA better is because it came on a cardboard roll, which gives it more support and structure when unrolling it. All in all, this works great and exactly as I want it.

Almost perfect

I'm starting to think a lot of the reviews complaining about this product just didn't read the instructions. The adhesion is great, though I had some difficulties with the very edges, but I also have very wonky window frames. There is a learning curve to it, but once you get it down it's a pretty easy install. You can try again if you mess up, too :) The one thing I WILL say, is that it does not completely block you from seeing inside, even in full sunlight. It does significantly lessen visibility though, and I think unless you're right up next to the window and really TRYING to see through it, it serves its purpose. From the inside, your window will be significantly darker and may be very slightly distorted, but not much. It definitely helps a lot with blocking sunlight.

Super Easy to Install!!

I've installed a few different brands of window films in our house. They've all been the thin type that uses water/baby shampoo mixture to adhere. I didn't expect this film to be so thick. I loved that it didn't stick to itself when peeling off the backing and it didn't have a whole bunch of bubbles like other films I've installed. I was able to install this on my daughter's sliding bedroom window in less than 15 minutes for both windows. With only 10% light transmission, it made a HUGE difference in the light and heat coming into the room. I loved it so much that I used the last remaining piece to put over the front door window that already has tint on it and I just ordered another roll to put over a west facing kitchen window that's also tinted, but still lets a lot of heat in.

Great value

This provides a great amount of darkening and privacy to rooms while allowing me to keep window blinds open and enjoy the view. Mine is not perfect because while it gives you everything you need to do it successfully, I chose to use what I already had at home. And even with that it is functional. I like that it isn’t permanent so I can remove it at anytime if it no longer fits my needs.

Helps cut down on the heat that comes into my room

Takes a methodical approach to get it up and sized right, so you have to be patient and be good at making measurements. I got a little lazy so I ended up with not AS NICE of a look on the finished window, but it still functions the same. You can even use a razor or scissors to cut out fun shapes! Cut down a lot on the temperature of my room that faces the sun. Blackout curtains just weren't enough.

Fácil de instalar cortando las piezas del tamaño requerido porque si son grandes no es fácil de recortar, no estoy seguro que pueda retirarse y reutilizarse después de que seque como se indica en la descripción creo que pierde la capacidad de fijacion, queda muy bien y es fácil de instalar usando una cantidad generosa de agua jabonosa

Nice solution for privacy

Purchased this to install on a glass entrance door at my business. Very easy to cut to size for installation. Installation instructions were clear and it was pretty easy to install. Since it is just static cling, it has separated in a few places along the edges after a couple of weeks of being installed on the door. I will probably try and reinstall it at some point if it continues to get worse. I also installed on a window for privacy from a shared hallway and since that does not get touched the installation is unaffected. It does let a good amount of light through but is nice and opaque for visual privacy.

easy to apply, would be easier if 2nd person helped straighten but still easy enough. the mirror effect works well for not seeing in from outside. A little too darkening inside the room. I would go with a lighter shading in my next purchase to allow more sunlight in

Works good

This was easy to install given you have the right tools (spray bottle for soapy water, plastic scraper, xacto knife). I installed it on my patio door so that nosey neighbors can't see inside. Please use a scraper that does not scratch because it will scratch up the surface. I used a rubbery ruler which helped to minimize the scratches when removing bubbles.

Keeps the heat out grwat

Put this film on the hottest windows and it stopped the room from heating up great. Also good for privacy during the day.

Great film for privacy

Nice product, easy to install once you get the idea. Only dislike its makes my house darker due to the colour with that being said I wonder if the silver would have been lighting..... Installed on my back patio doors so you can see in during the day but you can see in at night. Keeps the heat out as well. No problems installing just take your time and it will work out!

Worked great - my apt went from stifling to cool as a cucumber

South-facing apartment was sweltering even in early spring - what an amazing difference this film made! It's actually _cool_ in here now, not just 'not hot.' Installation is simple but best with 2 people who are able to take their time and cut carefully. Be sure you stick the proper side to the window (not hard to tell but check) & press out all the air bubbles with a soft cloth or rubber scraper.
