Up Your Game a Little...

If you're doing a lot of 'eyeball' fabrication, these punches can help you get the hole in the right place the first time. I didn't realize how useful they could be, until I bought this set. I use them quite often, from backyard carpentry to actual machine shop projects. Very pleased with the amount of use I'm getting out of them.

Almost perfect

For the money and if you aren't using them everyday. Stop reading and just buy them. My only gripe was the one size I bought it for (6mm) it has a rough texture from the black coating they applied improperly. I doubt it's going to matter though since its not a precision tool.

The tray holder came very bent. I have used the one marked 1/2". It worked. The 1/2" measured .475.

Good set of TRANSFER punches

I like the value of these. I got a set for my job at work and like them quite a bit. So, I had to get another set for my home shop. If these are used as intended, as transfer punches, they should last and hold up just fine. If you want to use them as a center punch, then good luck to ya. They might endure, they might not. Probably not, but most transfer punches won't. I don't think you could pay less for a better set. But you could certainly pay more for an inferior set.

Great Value

The punches themselves are perfectly serviceable and are a great value for sure. The rack could be a bit better. It is made of very thin sheet metal and came bent badly in shipping. I was able to bend it back somewhat. Even a plastic holder would be better if it could be more stable and stiff.

A great value on a versatile set

This is a quality set of transfer punches, valuable for many uses in fabrication. It also provides a wide variety of metal rod sizes that can be used as tamporary pins, or mandrels for wire wrapping and forming. Well worth the cost.

Does the job, multiple times

Grat value in this one. Does the job. Feels heavy duty.

Good set

So far the work good, but the hammering end is starting to mushroom Slightly after a handful of uses which is to be expected but the holes in the holder are too small so once they begin to shroom out even a little they stop fitting in the holder. So I just flip them over and put the point side down, not a big deal just not thought out.

Maybe just me but I don’t like the stand

Maybe just me but I don’t like the stand. Ok let’s be real, they are centre punches and they do just that. I use the 1/8th a lot. I am glad to have them in my shop but don’t know if they are any more or less special then the next set. They will punch a Center. They came on time. You will need to wipe them down before using them on special woods. Rather a heavy coat of some sort of oil for rust protection. It stinks a bit.I wore gloves. But no rust. Great Value

I have used these a few times in Mild steal plate and so far they are holding their tips and staying sharp, this was my biggest concern at this price point, but so far they are holding up, great value - not sure they will hold up over time but so far so good.

They are a little bit difficult to use as a transfer punch with thin metal. The point on the end protrudes almost 1/8 of an inch, so you can't use the perimeter of the punch as your guide to locate the center of the hole, if you are starting with a piece that is about 3/32 thick. The point needs to be not quite as long. You have to get creative !

Great quality and price

One of those tools that when you need are super handy to have. Previously I had just been making one on my lathe when needed but for the price and quality makes way more sense to buy these
