Falls Off and Gets Lost

I have purchased two of these. They work fine for hanging or propping up the cane from a table or another object. BUT they fall off . When I lost the first one, I blamed myself for not being careful. and ordered a second one. They don't arrive quickly like other Amazon products but I got the second one in time for a trip I had planned. I used the cane to board a train and somewhere on the train or in a taxi, the cane rest cane holder fell off and could not be found. Instead, for about the same price, I ordered a wide 4-sided piece that you could put on the bottom of the cane which makes the cane stand up by itself. The bonus of the new cane bottom is greater stability when walking as compared to a small cane tip. Live and learn.

I wish I hadn’t bought this product. I didn’t understand how to install it to my cane. I didn't understand the design. Was it designed for my cane - I betcha there's different sizes? But when my occupational therapist cut her finger trying to figure it out - I had enough. It's so NOT worth anyone spending any money on this, it's an understatement. If I could figure out how to get if off my cane without anyone else hurting themselves, I'd toss it as far as I could throw it.

Can use it to hook or prop your cane. Adjustable.

There are two clasps for canes of different sizes. They rotate easily around the cane's shaft, and can also be shifted up and down, so you can adjust the position according to need. For example, you can use it like a hook to prop your cane over a table top or chair back, or to prop it against a wall or other vertical surface. Red patches are "frictiony", and keeps it from sliding around too easily. Especially convenient if you have a t top handle, because you can rotate it to make a more stable triangle base to prop. For walking, you will need to take care of the placement, so it doesn't get in the way of your fingers, or stick out too far on the side. The clasp works by pressure and, although it's very secure, it can come undone if you bump it hard into something, or if you place it close to your fingers, and fumble your grip. Llke the adjustability.

This really works!

This really works. It has a large opening on one end for larger diameter canes and a smaller opening on the other end for smaller diameter canes. I have both kinds of canes and it fits both perfectly. It snaps on and off easily, but it doesn't come off when you are using it. It ends the embarrassment of having your metal cane crash to the floor, drawing everyone's attention, and saves you the discomfort of having to bend over and grope for your cane to pick it up. Because it is easy to remove, I leave it off my cane during normal daily use (since it would be a bit in the way) and only attach it when I am going to be sitting at a table somewhere, such as out to dinner. At the recent Thanksgiving dinner at the old folks' home, people noticed it, so I snapped it off my cane and passed it around the table, where my tablemates oohed and aahed over it and all agreed how embarrassing it is to have your cane fall and have everyone turn and stare. Everyone was duly impressed. I highly recommend this.

This was not a good choice. As soon as you set the cane with holder on table, it pops right off. I don’t recommend!

Very handy little device

Purchased this for my mother who uses a cane and she loved it. It snaps onto just about any cane very easily and it balances well on just about any surface. She'd usually just lean her cane up against a table or counter and more often than not it would eventually fall on the floor and she'd have trouble picking it up. This solves that problem. The only complaint is that after a couple months it popped off and vanished so maybe stock up on a couple in case one does a runner.

It helps but there is room for improvement.

I used this on a regular cane, not a quad-cane. It helps to hold regular canes in place but the cane can still be knocked over. I wish it would fold in half so it didn't stick out so far when not in use and the part that holds the cane in place was a little broader to help keep the cane from going sideways as much. So, it helps but there is room for improvement.

While this is a great way to "hang" your cane

While this is a great way to "hang" your cane, it can still be easily knocked off by the accidental slight hit of your hand. For us that's not a problem as my husband hangs his cane out of the way, or just hangs it temporarily while he is doing something (like rummaging thru the refrigerator). After all these years of dealing with his can falling over all the time, this is a huge improvement and worth the money to have one. Won't solve all your troubles though if your cane-carrying person is a klutz...

Do not like the product. Cane is just as unstable as it was using the handle to balance on desk, table, dresser, etc. It won’t even clip to my walker due to the angle of my handles on the walker.

Good way to hold your cane.

This helps with your cane. The cane balances no problem with this. Most of the time you can hang your cane on a table or whatever, unless it’s a very slippery surface, and it balances and keeps your cane out of the way, unless you bump into it. I would prefer if it had a little string to attach it to the cane, because I lost my first Holder (when I was rushing at an airport), but you can add a string to it yourself if you want.

Overpriced!

It seems like there is a need for cane rests, this is only one that actually works with any type of walker. It will pop off if it catches on a door frame, for example, but it is essential for my needs. When I initially ordered one last year the price was under $10, now it's double the amount to purchase.

Not worth the money.

Worked for a few weeks then slips off tables, shelves easily. I rotated the rubber trying to get it to hold again, to no avail. It also gets knocked off my cane easily because the plastic doesn’t hold a tight pinch for long.
