Very good heater
Works exactly as described. Suction cup mounts are slightly disappointing, but they work. Definitely needs to have its own 20amp outlet.

DANGEROUS: ELECTRIC SHOCK!!! FAULTY! DO NOT BUY! 2 DIFFERENT UNITS SAME ISSUE!
I bought two of these 300W heaters for my 75 gallon + 30 gallon sump (marine) in December 2022 (around 4 months ago) - I bought two of them thinking it would be good for redundancy "If one of them goes bad, then at least I'll still have the other!" Normally when I conduct maintenance on my tank, I am wearing shoulder length rubber gloves, to keep my skin out of the water. Today I went to grab something in my sump without gloves (where the two heaters were located) and received a huge electric shock, enough to make me jerk my hand away in pain. I tracked it down to the heaters being unplugged or not. I took them out, cleaned them, put them back in the tank one at a time, and turned them on. BOTH of the heaters were putting out an EXTREMELY high electric current, enough to make me recoil in pain. I have no idea how long this has been going on - could easily have been a week since I last put my bare skin in the tank. I feel awful that my fish and inverts have been ELECTROCUTED by my heaters for God knows how long. I thought that I was being smart to get two units, that if one went bad, I would be saved by the other. NOPE! It made it 2x worse, as BOTH units are faulty, both units are electrocuting the water!! DO NOT BUY THIS HEATER DO NOT ELECTROCUTE YOUR TANK IF I COULD GIVE NEGATIVE STARS, I WOULD AVOID! ELECTRIC SHOCK It is INSANE that both units have this same issue - the odds of them both having the same issue by chance is astronomical. Do not buy this heater. Luckily I have some spare heaters on hand for my other tanks that I am now having to use - but they are extremely small. I am lucky that it is in the early afternoon when I figured this out, so that nearby local fish stores are still open so that I can buy two new heaters. If this had happened at night, I would be completely SOL. Do not put yourself through this stress! Listen to mine and the other review talking about electric shocks --- it is not a fluke! Do NOT electrocute your fish! Do NOT buy this heater! Edit: 48 hours later, my fish has now died. Thanks H2Pro!!

I was really skeptical on buying this but I'm glad I did, I have it on my 220 gallon saltwater tank and absolutely love it

Wild temperature fluctuations
22-year reefer. 1000W heater used in in-wall 250G reef tank. The controller is garbage, and it is HUGE. Out of the box wild temperature swings of 2-3 degrees every 2-30 seconds from the temperature probe result in the heating element being turned on/off every 2-30 seconds. There is not a "difference set point" on this controller (ie allow for a 1, 2, or 3 degree swing without turning the heater on or off). This repeated on/off cycling will kill the controller and the heating element in a very short time, so the controller is completely unusable. I can give this H2Pro controller a zero-star rating. The heater itself seems good on day 1, I may report back on it later. I am using an Aqua Logic controller as a replacement for this useless H2Pro controller.

DANGER!! DO NOT BUY!!! ELECTROCUTES FISH!
This heater electrocuted and killed 3 of my fish and nearly got a fourth. Fortunately, it survived. I also put my hand near it and was shocked. This product is faulty and dangerous! Do not buy it! Save your money and your fish!!

Works great on my outdoor pond
I've got a 500 Gallon outdoor pond. the temperature of the pond dropped down below 50 degrees recently, which is a bit cold for the fish & other animals I have in there. this heater worked great to heat the pond up to 65 degrees overnight. It's been about a week now and the temp is very stable. The suction cups were worthless on the liner of the pond, so i just have the thermocouple and heating elements hanging in discrete areas.
