A REALLY good work glove!
The Ironclad Heavy Utility Work Glove (HUG), are VERY solid work gloves, especially for what I do (gardening). I think they are better than the other work gloves I've bought in the past from Ironclad (The ranchworx RWG2), which, maybe because of the work that I do, seem to fray and wear out quicker than the HUG utility gloves. It took a little time for me to get a little comfortable with them, they sort of felt stiff on my hands to start, but after a while, they start to relax and flex better. There (so far), are no problems with abrasion OR fraying of stitching, the velcro clasps across the wrists that act as straps to keep the gloves in place do the trick, although they can be a little tricky to unclasp when they are BRAND new, but, after a short time with usage, they will be able to clasp/un-clasp with more speed. They are also washable, and when they come out of the laundry, they look brand new. All in all, a very good pair of work gloves (they also have, on the back of each thumb, a terry cloth sweat wipe). Made in Indonesia, for some additional information for you. Hope this review was helpful to all!

Great for Firewood
Processing firewood absolutely destroys the fingertips of plain leather gloves. The synthetic material on the fingers and palm are very durable, and withstood about 6 months of moderate use processing firewood. The only real drawback is that the synthetic armor does not give a great grip on some types of wood, especially if it's wet/green.

Great durability.
I love the Duraclad Reinforcements in the gloves. As a person that recycles plastic and cardboard, I slide my fingers through the cardboard most of the time to fold them properly and the gloves have holded up pretty well. The only complaint I have for the gloves is the lack of grip. They’ve been times that items have slipped out of my hands with the gloves. (I was going to add another complaint about the gloves not having great touch screen availability, but I don’t mind it as I don’t really use it as much as I just take off the gloves to use my phone.)

So far so good…Edited 2 weeks later on September 26…
We shall see… Hard to rate fairly after only 2 days of use. Seemed a tad small at first but fit snugly which is good. Using them to build a dry stone (no mortar) wall and handling tons of stone…a true test as the stone eats up leather gloves. Maybe I’ll have it together enough to come back and add to this…so far so good. ***well here we are 2 weeks later. Been working with stone approx. 4 hrs a day average. Gloves started out with a snug fit, nice features, and good dexterity. Now the seams in at least 2 fingers have failed/let go letting in debris and exposing fingers to stone chips. Not happy. A lot of money for 2 weeks. So my follow up rating is now ONE STAR (maybe). Very disappointed. RJH. 9/26/2022.

Pretty good gloves
So far I am liking these gloves. I have always used leather gloves to work in the yard. The first two fingertips always get holes on my right hand from pulling weeds. So I go through maybe 4 pairs each year. These are holding up pretty well so far. One added bonus I have found is because the wrists can be tightened with the Velcro closures, I don’t get dirt or bark dust inside my gloves like I do with all my leather ones. The one negative thing I would say is the sizing is off. I always wear a small size in gloves - all gloves. For these gloves it tells you how to measure your hand and order the corresponding size from their chart. I ordered a medium because that’s what the chart said for my measurement. And, it was inaccurate because the gloves are too big. So it’s been annoying trying to pull weeds when the fingertips flop around. At least the Velcro wrists prevent the entire glove from sliding around. So if they continue to hold up well, I’ll order another pair: just in a smaller size.

I'm a tree surgeon. And these gloves are by far the best I've had. Comfy, grippy, tough, but even after all that you can still tie knots and fiddle with small clips relatively easily.
