This is VERY HARD TO FIND!!

I went to many, many, different stores and NOBODY had this item. I didn't have a part number and the shower it came off of was blank!! NO NAME!! So I had to go by the picture only, and when I removed it , it was in 2 pieces! Painfully searching online, it took a few days, I finally found it! I was soooo happy to see it on Amazon! Also, it shipped overnight plus it was more affordable than most other cartridges. I was anticipating the delivery so much I couldn't sleep! It was a 'deliver first' so that mean from 4a.m. to 8a.m. is the window. So every hour I was looking out the window and checking the porch! Just when I was ready to complain to Amazon for not fulfilling the terms, it came!! 7:36 a.m. which is before 8!! It was super easy to install, but comes with instr., and my house has water again(and of course a shower)!! Part #974-3210

Perfect fit

The original mixer in my pfister shower started making a banging noise after about a year when water was shut off. I took it apart and cleaned it out which solved the problem... for a few days. Off to Home Depot I went to pick up a replacement, but they only had one "universal fit" replacement in stock that after getting home to install was of course too long. After doing some research online to find the proper replacement (much more difficult than it should be) I found this and it was even cheaper than the universal replacement from HD. This dropped in perfectly, moves smoothly and most importantly, no more banging behind the shower. I've only had it installed for about a month now, but so far it's been working great.

Great replacement for the older 2-piece type cartridge

My old 2-piece Pfister leaks and the cover screw got rusty and stuck. Need to saw the facet handle off before accessing and replacing the cartridge. Getting the old one out is easy, primed the o-rings good with silicon grease, put it back in, set temp dial to A, put on new trim set and it's an instant transformation for my shower! For people who complains about leaks, please remember the installation process and care is as much important as the part itself to ensure good quality services.

Good product but poor quality control for the “Used” item from Amazon Warehouse

Bought it as is “used” from Amazon Warehouse. However, it was not only used one but was also a faulty one according to its indication on the box. I thought that might be just the box, and checked to find out it was indeed a faulty item. What a waste of time and cost of transportation.

Easy repair

Bought this roughly 2 years ago at around $30 and it's still going strong. Controls the temperatures well and no leaks. Easy to install. Saved me from paying a plumber that was asking $200 for a job that is this simple

Worked like a charm

This replaced my original assembly that had broken. I had the version with the rounded openings and simply removing the adapter allowed it to fit perfectly. No more leaks!

Upgrade to ceramic disc precise retrofit to OEM

I do not write many reviews, but when something is worthy of it, I certainly am willing to put my words behind it. (the only caveat I would add to that statement, is these are only freshly installed, so I have not been using them save more than about a month and change. If something were to change, I will update the review accordingly.) I have to say I am very impressed with this cartridge. A few years ago I did a master bathroom full gut / renovation, & at the time I also changed out all the faucet fixtures in the house, except for one, which was in my upstairs guest bathroom, as it is behind a fiberglass tub enclosure, the wall behind it was the upstairs exterior stucco wall to the house itself, so there was no easy access to change out the entire valve body/faucet completely. I had an entire renovation project at the time, so I just left the old faucet in place. Fast fwd ,& I use this guest bathroom for fast showers since there’s no glass to squeegee as in my renovated master bath. But I quickly realized the old OEM cartridge with the rubber O-rings inside, was squeaking & getting harder to turn (also have very hard water), so I knew it would start leaking soon. So I found this retrofit, ceramic disc cartridge, as well as the accompanying trim plates by the same manufacturer. I’m very impressed with all of these pieces. Not only did they fit precisely with an OEM fit, there were no leaks (as a tip use KY jelly to lubricate all of the O-rings when installing), but literally zero issues with the install as well as post install operation. Turning that handle on the ceramic disc is just like all of the other Hansgrohe faucets that I put in the house during the renovation. Without fail, this was money well spent on this retrofit cartridge. (unless, for some unforeseen reason, it does not hold up reliably across time, which I have not had it long enough to assess.)

Easy installation, perfect fit and smooth operation

Installed this PB valve in a circa 2008 Pfister shower control and it now works better than the original. Easy installation, great fit (no leaks) and easily adjustable anti-scald plate. Adapter for older valves comes per-installed so unless you have a newer model it installs right out of the box as is.

Perfect!!!

This is the high quality I was expecting! Other products were cheap plastic and leaks! I’d try many times to fix it with the other cheaper products, which was very frustrating. This one felt sturdy, heavy and worth the extra few dollars. I was worried it was too long but it fit properly and when screwed in, it made a perfect seal on the first try. No leaks, hot water, simply amazing Amazon! Thank you!!!

Good one-piece replacement for discontinued 2-piece part

Worked perfectly to replace an old 2-part cartridge that’s no longer available (bottom in photo versus new part on top). Fast, free shipping and part is at least as good quality as the one being replaced after 10 years. BEWARE: if you don’t make a perfect seal when you put this part in the fitting, pull it out and make sure the two rubber seals at the end are properly in place and try again. Otherwise you will get dripping issues immediately or later. Also make sure you install it so the hot and cold feeds are properly lined up.
