Worked great
Forward motion self adjusting electric trailer brakes. I have a triple axle toy hauler and did the change out myself. Videos I watched stated it didn't matter how you hooked up the wiring - which wire to which. But 3 worked abd three didn't so IT DOES MATTER! I took several laps around the RV park to adjust them and they are working great!

Complete, ready to go replacement
I have used four of these on my high milage (70k+ miles) travel trailer. Non technical project for an amateur auto mechanic. No special tools required. The fact that the shoes are self adjusting is a big help. Just use good soldered and sleeved splice for the new 12v connectors.

Great trailer axle brakes
Installed both a left and right side to replace OEM Lippert non self-adjusting brakes on my 20ft car hauler trailer. The original brakes only lasted about 7,500 miles - well the right side (magnet quit working), but I also needed to replace the left brake hub so I installed all new components so they hopefully wear at the same rate. Installation and adjustment were straight forward for the most part. Adjust until there is heavy drag then back off the adjuster until there is some audible noise and slight drag. The right side proved easier to back off the adjuster than the left side which took a screwdriver to hold the self-adjuster off the adjustment wheel so I could turn it. I made a roughly 15 mile drive to begin the burnish process and after about 10 applications I had to turn the brake controller gain down to keep the trailer brakes from locking up. At that point I applied another 4 - 5 slow downs using only the brake controller override, before driving a mile so to let the brakes and hubs cool before parking the trailer. When I parked they were still hot and you could definitely smell the materials seating together. I probably should have continued driving to cool them more, but I had other commitments and couldn't. Overall I am very pleased with the products and hope they last longer than the Lippert non-adjusting brakes they replaced.

problem with the electric connectors for the drum brake system
Applied the brake system on a 2006 Pace American 24 ft cargo trailer 5th wheel. After assembling the brakes the electric brake controller in the truck would not function. Paid 178.00 for a professional to find out why the electric brakes would not work and found out all the electric connectors supplied with the brakes would not allow solid electrical connection and all had these connectors had to be cut off and new butt connectors applied. This was not only expensive but time consuming as I had to try and trace the electrical problems which took hours.

Received damaged brake assembly with no damage to an unopened box
Sabatoge at the factory? Never seen anything like this. Received damaged left hand brake assembly in an undamaged, unopened box with one layer of shipping tape. The first thing I noticed when I opened the box was the magnet at an odd angle. Then I see the brake shoe is bent near the adjuster and the shoe has been pushed out of the upper notch. On further inspection, the lever with the magnet post is bent somehow causing the odd angle. Also, missing one of the four nuts! The right hand assembly looks great, as do both of the hubs. So I set up the return and ordered a replacement with delivery tomorrow. We sure do like Prime shipping and glad Amazon is the seller.

Exact OEM replacement
Never really knew how a trailer electrical brake worked. Once I saw this I'm a bit hesitant in believing that these brakes really work at all. Trailer brakes are only drag brakes and not meant to stop anything but the mechanisms and Design seem rather suspicious house how they really do work. The old brakes and drum that I removed the magnet actually had ruined the drums possibly because of a lack of maintenance but when the magnet is designed to drag across the face of the drum I almost considered this a bad engineering design. Maybe the magnet should only draw near to the drum as you apply the brakes but I believe often times that magnet actually comes in contact with the drum thereby creating friction and damage. Maybe I set my brake controller to too much force , but either way I've gotten about 30k out of these brakes and drums before I change them so maybe this is how and when they were supposed to wear out. But even so I'm glad I changed them and now I have fresh brakes drums plates mechanisms magnets and ready to do another 30k. These do seem like an exact oh yeah meme replacement part. But remember there is a left side and right side so don't order two of the same one thinking you're doing the whole axle product description does kind of hint towards the need for left and right but just saying

Not Lippert product
**Updated** Installed to my RV and had some issues. Called Brechbill directly and got in touch with their Amazon parts manager. He was very helpful, and offered advice over the phone for troubleshooting-- turns out he was also correct about the issue. I am bumping my review and rating because good customer service needs to be recognized and appreciated. I would order from them again. Would still recommend changing the list description to remove the Lippert title-- brand matters to some folks. Also, would have appreciated the locking washers and nuts for the assembly. I had a heck of a time finding the correct size and threading around town for these. (7/16th fine in case anyone wonders). Was listed as a Lippert assembly but received AxleTech. The product appears to be nearly identical so I am going ahead with installation but the listing should reflect this. Also, perhaps a smaller point, but no install extras were included-- such as nuts, washers or electric shrink connectors. The right side Lippert assembly I received had both of those things.

Easy to install
I bought these for both axles of my cargo trailer. Although I had to torch the old units off, these new kits were very easy to install. The only issue I had was that one of them came from a different fulfillment centre, it was slightly different but still had the same part#, and did not have new nuts and washers like the rest of them had...luckily I had some in my bolt bin that fit.
