Noticeable difference from the previous version
I noticed these feel firmer and less flaky than the previous version of the Griot's polish pads. I used it with Griot's All in One Ceramic and the results are stunning. 5 stars.

Decent but on the expensive side.
Pads work decent and last but there are better options for the price.

3" Orange Correcting Pads (Not "Polishing")
The correct name of this product is actually the Griot's Garage 3" Orange Foam Correcting Pad. ("Polishing" pad has a different technical meaning in the detailing world.) Orange is the color that Griot's uses for all of their correcting pads, so I knew what I was purchasing, but it might not be so obvious to everyone. (If you're looking for a true "polishing" pad in Griot's line, you might want to check out their yellow "Perfecting" pad.) Anyway, this is a great 3" correcting pad. Fits perfectly on a 3" backing plate but the pad surface flares outward, so coverage is probably more like 3.25". I pair this pad with Griot's fast correcting cream to correct moderate swirls and defects on areas that are too small for a 5" or 6" pad.

Good pad. Would buy again.
I used this pad with 3M Marine Restorer & Wax (09006) on a used boat I bought. The boat was heavily oxidized on the upper hull and with orange lake water stains from the water line down. I used an air powered buffer. I was surprised at how well oxidation and stains were removed with only medium to light pressure on the pad. I have beat the crap out of this pad and it still holds up. My project was multi-day so I would rinse the pad at the end of the day and shoot water at it from the sprayer to help rinse it out. I folded it in half and twisted it the let it air dry in the sun. The hook&loop pad is starting to peel away from the edges a little now but it is still very usable. Would recommend and buy again.

Great pad, but too soft
I was pressed for time and couldn't get my favorite Lake Country flat orange pads in time for a detail, so I ordered these with Prime shipping. These Griot's pads are exceptionally well made, and it looks like it will survive use on multiple cars. The problem is this pad is too soft for an orange pad, so you get far less cut from it. I found myself wanting a bit more cut, even on softer Honda paint. In terms of cut, these are halfway between a typical orange pad and a white polishing pad. For mild correction on softer paint, these will work great. If you're looking for stronger correction, these won't cut it. On the bright side, this is one of the most durable pads I've used, so I can likely buff several cars before this pad starts to come apart. I will likely end up using this for polishing jobs with M205, after compounding with something slightly more aggressive.

Great follow up
I only used these pads for removing 8000 grit marks from damp sanding with the 3m trizact pads. Used the meg ultimate compound to remove the light milky haze and yellowing oxidation to reveal an almost glass like appearance to the plastic headlights before using a final polish with a finishing pad and adding uv clear coat spray.

Perfect polish applicator for the 3" Buffer
Griot sells a buffer that these fit and they are perfectly matched. I use the orange ones for various levels of polish on my paint and I love how I can get into places on the nose and tail of the car that the 6" pads don't do well with - or do at all. They also work nicely around wheel arches and my rocker panels that stick out from the body. Hand polishing is not my thing. These work great and hold up well - and I'm not easy on them. Be careful removing them from the hook and loop plate. If you don't grab the back of the pad down by the connection you'll rip them in half. I've been using them for about 8 years and they really make it easy to polish out "areas and spots" where I don't want to sit with a bigger 6" Porter Cable or my heavier Flex buffers. I also use the red pads for applying wax in the same spots but like a white pad for less aggressive polishing. Oh yeah, I wore out my old buffer bought at Griot's and they REPLACED IT AT NO CHARGE AND SHIPPED IT FOR FREE!

Great for tighter areas.
The Griot's Garage 11241 3" Orange Polishing Pad (Set of 3) did a great job on the tight spots and thin strips on our vehicles. This pad is actually the COMPOUNDING PAD and is, of course, used for paint correction. I happen to have a 3 pack each of orange, black and red pads. The Griot's 3" BLACK pad is for polishing, usually used next. Lastly, Griot's 3" RED pad is for waxing (finishing). With experience, we can learn to use all three pads together, two pads paired or even one pad alone to do the job. My experience has been that all three pads do a very good job. The 3" pads spun much better (faster) than 5" pads on the same vehicle at the same speed using the same product. I suppose that stands to reason; same power driving a smaller pad. 3" pads are essential for auto paint correction. I could not get into smaller areas with just the 5" pad. Having used all three Griot's Garage Pads (orange, black, red) I can give them my highest recommendation for performance and value.

Simple pad system. Highly effective.
I love the Griot's pad system of just three colors: orange, red and black. Really only two matters: orange and red. Which was really all they had a while back. Black was just something they threw in recently. This is far less confusing than 7-8 variations of pads, different colors and pad patterns, and having to guess which one works best for your application. With Griots, you only have to worry about 2. Orange or red, and they work well for the average joe like me. However, I understand that others that need to correct very deep scratches or other detailing work may not appreciate the small selection of pads from Griots. I use the orange to apply scratch removers like Meguiar's ScratchX 2.0 and on medium speeds Mother's Pure Polish Step 1. I used the red on low speeds to apply my sealants and waxes. Works like a charm. My scratches are gone. My swirls have mostly disappeared, and my paint shined like it was new. They are pretty well made and nothing has detached or anyway so far, as I've read from other pad makers. The only thing I hated was the price. At $26+ a pop, they get pretty expensive. Fortunately, they sell these in 3 packs at a greatly reduced cost that is comparable to aftermarket pads like Lake Country pads when you factor in shipping costs. I used one orange for scratch removal, another orange for polish, and I've saving one for future usage. For waxes, I used one red for half the car and another for the second half, and again saving one for future use. Great stuff. Highly recommend.

Great pads. Little pricey in Canada but well worth it. Was using the same one before but in my lack of experience I ended up overheating and destroying it. Not the pads fault just mine. Hopefully I'll do better with this one as a quality pad like this can last years if used properly.
