Green Works smokes grass for the win!
Let me start off by saying there's no comparison for an electric lawn mower. It really does have gas like power. It's 80 volts. The battery is a third the size of a car battery, it's huge! But it's worth it. Best $500 I've spent. I have a 40 volt Green Works (refurbished) electric blower that I really like and have used for years. So I'm already a Green Works fan and believer. For 3 years I mowed (approximately) 4,000 sq ft of grass with an 18 volt Ryobi lawn mower, that I could not fully finish cutting, if I let the grass grow beyond one week. Then I got a huge second battery and using 2 batteries, if I moved swiftly, 67% of the time I'd finish the whole lawn on one charge. Those other 33% times pushed a simple cutting to 3+ hours. No way it should take that long. Enter this 80 volts Green Works beast! And I mean beast. I blows through everything. I've let the grass go for 6+ weeks numerous times, and in the past that means a 3+ hour tour. Not with this one. 30 minutes is all it takes, and I'm done. Every time. Now it must be stated that I self push, and I'm strong, but it is a heftier mower. The more one uses the self driving feature, the shorter the battery lasts as self driving will drain it faster. There's a nice battery reader button to press to see how much you have left. But charging the battery, takes maybe 60-90 minutes from it being completely dead. Height adjustment is nice. This bag is bigger than the Ryobi one I had before, so less emptying is also nice. It's also wider than the Ryobi was. Green works > Ryobi. Green Works makes the best electric powered lawn care products.

Mower self propelled speed
I bought this 80L410 and received it this week. I demoed it to my wife and 2 older daughters, everything is fantastic except for the self propelled speed. It's way to fast for me with severe COPD. My girl have no health issues but will not use the self propell, it's to fast for all of us. Is there some way to lower the speed by adjusting the variable speed switch or put a in-line resistor?

Excellent Mower
I live on top of a mountain with very steep grades to my yard. This mower worked perfectly. I could get the extra boost when needed to go uphill by engaging the self propel. I highly recommend this mower. I have an acre yard that I am mowing and I was able to mow 3/4 of it before needing to charge the battery

Love this mower!!
It is so easy to start, uses no gas and is very quiet. I can adjust the height with one hand. I was afraid that it would not work as described but it works as well as my old gas mower.

Works great!
Weve only used it once but am in love with it. Mowed the calf high grass that I usually struggle with going over it over and over. Not this lawn mower. I thought it would go slower but it said, "come on lady keep up!" So much easier with the self propel to go up the hill!

If you are on the fence about battery mowers, it is time to jump over to the electric life
I have not had to cut a lawn since the early 1980's. Now in the midst of labor shortages and rising prices for lawn services, I decided to try cutting it myself. This mower was/is a good choice. Our previous lawn service had empty shelves from all the awards they were not winning, so last year we bought the Green Works 40 V blower and trimmer for light clean up duty AFTER the lawn crew was done each week. We liked both of them. So this year we decided to ditch the crew and bought the 80 V Pro self propelled mower. It has so far been a great product. 1. SO much quieter than a gasoline mower. 2. No exhaust fumes 3. No hot engine and muffler to burn yourself on. 4. No pull start 5. Can be stored vertically; no fluids to spill. There are 'feet' built in to hold it upright if you like. 6. No need to cart gas home in a jerry can. 7. It is really quiet. I know I said that before but I thought you may have not heard it. 8. It is lightweight. Most of the time I don't use the self propelled feature. 9. You can use the self propulsion without having to run the blades. Handy if you are moving it a ways. 10. Battery life is good. I did buy an extra battery figuring I would need it, but I could have gotten by without it. My lot is about 1/3 acre. 11. It does not use a lot of electricity. I do not run the batteries down to empty. From about 20-33% charge, it takes about an hour to charge. I threw a meter on the charger; it starts out at about 350 watts and was more like 100 as it was finishing. 12. Wheel height adjustment is a snap. Literally. A spring-loaded lever snaps into 7 different settings. While the self propelled feature is handy, it is a bit quirky as it takes a few seconds for that motor to come up to speed. Whereas a self propelled gas mower is powered by the engine already running so it starts at speed. This is just one of those things you get used to. Not a show stopper. Once that motor is cranking, it has plenty of power and (adjustable) speed, it just takes a second that you may not be accustomed to. The quality of the cut is fine. The 80V motor has all the oomph you need to get through wet or tall grass. While lightweight and easy to manage, it is still heavy enough to leave tire tracks to line up your rows. The bagger works fine, but I usually use the mulching mode. I would buy this again and tell my friends to do the same. The competition is hot in this area, and I only own this one, so maybe there could be something yet better on the market, but this one seems to tick all the boxes and not only am I happy, my Greek chorus of nosey neighbors all seem to like it to.

Used mower
This mower was used. I saw nothing saying this mower was used. Yes it assembled correctly, all parts are there, but strewn about. This means the battery is also used. Now I fear later I will discover why it was returned and have to deal with that. I paid full price for this and it should have sold as used.

Battery usage.
A bit disappointed that I had to purchase a second battery in order to complete my lawn.
