Great diffuser but quite old when received, according to manufacturers stamped date of manufacture label on the diffuser unit

I want to give this a five-star rating, but am going with 4 stars for two reasons. First, I haven't used it long enough to know what it's life span will be like. If it holds up for a reasonable amount of time with regular use, I will consider giving it a 5th star. Secondly, I am taking off one star because although this item is advertised as a new model, I originally received one with a manufactured date stamp of May 2015, shipped to me at the end of October 2016. The first one I received (from seller Amazon) came in a damaged box and had some scratches on it, so I asked for a replacement. The replacement came with fewer scratches but actually has a manufactured date stamp of December 2014. I received it at the start of November 2016, so it was just shy of two years old on the day it was shipped to me. While not used, it has sat on a shelf for 22 or 23 months before coming into my possession, and I do worry that this could affect its life span. I also feel Amazon should not be selling as new new stock - electronics that have been manufactured within, let's say, the past 6 months or so. Maybe I'm being picky, but when I buy something as new, I'm not happy to learn, after I've already paid for it, that it's actually years old at the time I purchase. Still, this is a great diffuser so far. I can't believe how much scent I get from just a few drops of oil. Though I have a hard time imagining anyone is ever able to get the advertised five hours out of this (the handful of times I've run it so far it's lasted 2 hours, 3 tops, when filled 1/3 full, as directed in the instructions), but I am happy with the run time. For the price it seems to work great. I didn't think I'd want any lights, but I kind of like one of the colors. Note: When the diffuser is running, the lights flicker quite a bit - I think this is caused by the motion of the mist inside the diffuser and not a problem with the leds. Based on its performance so far, I highly recommend this diffuser, but if you're like me, you'd want to be forewarned that what you will be getting is not a freshly minted diffuser.

Short-term but rigorous vapor output

I ordered two in error, but there is a no-return policy. Would be more enthused about two if the diffuser was more ideal for my needs. It produces a rigorous vapor, but the diffuser water level is 1/2-cup, so the diffuser requires refilling more often than I had hoped. It is my first vaporizer. Ordered this brand as same brand my daughter has, and I love hers, a different model. Mine makes a slight blub-blub sound as it vapors, but I have grown accustomed to that. Going with the rigorous vapor stream, I have decided to use it for my breathing treatments. Normally, I bring a pan of water to the point of boiling, remove from heat, and add theives. Then I tent my head with a towel and breathe the vapors till the vapor subside as the water cools. Now, I will due some face-time within a few inches of the vapor, and breathe directly from the diffuser. Hubby says he will use the extra one in his studio as he loves the thieves mist. He was the first to like the colors, and they are rather cheery. You can switch the colors off-on. The soft colors with the rigorous vapor provide comfort to our space. The product is described as a "spa" diffuser, and it would do well in a space that needs a high-rate of vapor. The spout is directional to the side at a 45 degree angle, and does cover an area well.

LOVE this reliable diffuser!

This was my second Greenair diffuser purchase and I love it! I have had no problems with either of my Greenair diffusers and have been using them daily for quite some time. I love the ease of use with this product as well as how easy it is to clean and maintain. This product is a plug in unit that features a 150 ml water tank that is accurate to the claim that it will run a cool mist continuously for up to 5 hours (mine has run as long as 6) and can cover a room up to 250 square feet. This product is not a humidier...it is a diffuser and specifically intended with the use of essential oils. If you are looking for this product to serve as a humidifier and an essential oil diffuser, this isn't the product for you. This particular unit does not have alternative settings such as intermittent or high, low, etc., but when it is turned on does have a very nice, high output similar to what I would consider a high output compared to some of my other diffuser modes. It can be run day or night as it is quiet and turns itself off when the water tank is empty, and can now be used with purified water. It is BPA free which is something that is very important to me. I really like the rotating light feature (purple, red, blue, green) that is calming and nice to watch, yet also has an off button for when you are sleeping and don't want the lights to disturb you. This is a very cost effective unit and for me has been extremely reliable and dependable. I would purchase another Greenair diffuser in a heart beat!

Excellent diffusuer. Couldn't be happier!

So glad I waited to find the right diffuser because this one is great and the price was even better. I bought this to diffuse eucalyptus oil in my office while I work and it's perfect. I think it will do great in larger rooms as well. Be aware that this does make a little noise (think the volume level of the fan in your computer), plus there's a little water splashing sound but I find it all relaxing. It creates mist as soon as you turn it on, and the rotating colored lights are a nice touch. Prior to buying this little beauty, I was using a plug in room diffuser (the little ball type) which was fine for a first introduction to EOs but the fragrance would be super strong at first and then wear off within an hour, then it would stay on until you unplugged it. This one will run for about 4 hours with one fill up, with a steady distribution of EO throughout, then will shut off when it's out of water. I then will fill up a measuring cup with tap water and refill it. I learned the hard way that this is better than taking the whole unit to the sink. On a related note, I dropped it on the first day onto a hardwood floor and it survived with no problems. I just came across a similar unit for sale by one of those big EO companies and they were charging $120!!! So glad I found this one instead.

Worked Beautifully but then stopped

I purchased this product in Dec 2016 and shortly after using it, I gave it a really good review and 4 stars. Well now, 9 months later it STOPPED WORKING COMPLETELY. There is no more power, no light, NOTHING. I took very good care of it and clean it after every use. One night it just decided to stop working. I was actually going to purchase 2 more this Xmas and give them out as present, but that won't be happening anymore. I read other reviews of clients who have had this product for one year and I noticed a lot of people are complaining about how it stops working right around the 1 year mark - just when the manufacturer warranty expires. I will touch base with the seller/Greenair and hope I can get a replacement! So I called Amazon and they are going to replace my product!!!! I must say this was the easiest return I've ever had to call about... Great customer service Amazon! I'll keep ya'll posted!!

Waste of money

Product: This product did not meet my expectations. I have purchased another diffuser from Amazon for myself. My dad really like the diffuser but then I thought I should get him another diffuser that is bigger since he has a bigger room. Well let's just say this diffuser gives out no mist. Also I put around 10 drops of lavender oil and it was barely noticeable. You have to go really close to the diffuser to be able to smell it. Also the mist is barely visible. I'm not if the product I received has a defect. This was recommended by someone in an article I found on google. Not sure what his good review was all about.

Very happy with this diffuser.

I love this diffuser. I've used tap and spring water in it and it does so well with both. I love the output and the light feature. I find the light is so calming and soothing. I plan on putting this in my treatment room so clients can relax to it's gentle soft lighting undertones. It runs for about 3-4 hours, which is more than enough for day time use and allows one to change their scents up.

Awesome product!!

Love this diffuser!! Easy to use & clean. Don't need a ton of oils to get a good smell, the lights are pretty too. Love the fact you can turn them on or off & still use the diffuser. Would totally buy again.

Quiet and effective

The unit is quiet and is very easy to use. Just fill to the water line, add your oil and plug in. I have only run it overnight so not aware of how long it actually runs. I would like to be able to set the light to one color instead of it constantly changing colors but that has not been a big deal.
