Dog's New Favorite

The Suspicious Chicken is another well-made toy for vigorous chewers. My dog usually rips new toys to shreds within days, sometimes hours, of receiving it. We have gone through two cheetahs by the same brand in the past couple years and thought I'd try the chicken this time. It's bigger than the cheetah due to the legs and head. A winner in my book. Still want to get the cheetah, but it's almost twice the price.

Not the same durability

The previous one we had was one of the few toys our aggressive chewer couldn't destroy. She and a black lab dragged it around the yard and played tug of war with it unmercilessly. No damage. The only reason we bought a new one was because the original was filthy, even after the washer. The new one has a tooth hole in it in less than a month. The fabric of the new one is not nearly as thick as the old one. The cloth of the old one felt like sailcloth. The new one, more like a bedsheet. I'll probably buy her a new Fat Cat toy but it won't be through Amazon. I want to feel the fabric of the next one before I buy it. Fat Cat......if you're listening. I hope you didn't "cheap out" on us.

Tough enough for English Bull Terriers

I ordered this for my English Bull Terriers (one mini, who is a destructive chewer, and one standard, who is an aggressive chewer). They love to play tug with toys, and my little guy loves squeakers. I only expect toys like this to last a short time with these guys tugging on them, but this one is still relatively intact after a month (it's missing a wing and has some punctures, but none of the stuffing has come out). It's cute, and it's a good size toy that's pretty heavy. The canvas-like material is sturdy and it came out of the washer just fine. Our only disappointment is that either the squeaker was broken or it doesn't have one. Just a note: my dogs both have Primary Lens Luxation, and these head-shaking toys are discouraged for dogs with lens issues. They just tug with this, as they've been trained out of that behavior, but if your dog has eye problems these types of toys can cause serious issues.

Classic Favorite

I'm not sure why other reviews are saying the quality has gone down. It hasnt. I bought this for the first time about 8 years ago, and have bought them for 3 dogs since. It has been a favorite for all of them.

Dogs love it

Use to get this same story at tractor supply & always loved it. When I saw this on Amazon I purchased two more. My dogs fight over this toy and we have three chickens!

Lo recomiendo ampliamente.

The media could not be loaded. El pollo es muy entretenido. Este es el segundo que compro porque aunque mi perro no es el más destructor si le causó daños importantes al primero después de un tiempo. Recomiendo para una mayor duración cortarle la etiqueta de tela que tiene en un costado e incluso contarle la pequeña cresta roja porque por ahí empiezan a rasgarlo. Es curioso porque mi perro juega solito como a "sacudir" su presa, pero también lo toma de almohada, es un acompañante versátil.

Not What They Used To Be...Cheap & Flimsy

NOWHERE built as well or tough as they were 4-5 years ago! The previous Fat Cat toys were made with a ballistic nylon weave as a sub layer underneath a very tough and thick cotton canvas exterior (see photos of the old shark toy). I ended up buying 4 of these as my dogs loved the shark toy we bought about 4 years ago and they just managed to tear through these newly purchased ones after only 3 days?! =( The canvas they now use is totally thin and weak....why do companies start off with the right vision and goal and then cheap out to save $$ and get greedy? Perhaps this company sold out to another company but they are not what they used to be. Total waste of money as they will be going into the trash which is not an environmentally sound choice. Will save the stuffing for something in the future vs poisoning the landfill with it.

Our dog's new favourite toy!

Suspicious Chicken was the long-time favourite companion of our last dog so when it came up on Amazon, I had to buy one for our current pup. She loves its floppy legs and wings and it's large enough for her to take with her when we go out. She's wrestled with it a few times so after reading some earlier reviews, I checked the stitching. No sign of wear on the canvas or of the stitching coming apart so far. Dog's happy with it, so we are too.

Fun Fun Fun

My dog loves Fat Cat toys. He loves shaking and smacking himself in the head with the toy. I have been buying Fat Cat toys for over 16 years and I am a faithful supporter despite the fact that there has been a definite decline in the quality of the toys.

Lab favorite

Many stuffed dog toys have a half-life counted in hours, sometimes less. The suspicious chicken has held up remarkably well for months now. It's apparently great for parading around... Recommended if you are ok with the squeaky and your dog isn't a bonafide wood chipper.
