Great inexpensive option, but instructions could be clearer
TL;DR - Works great w/ Alexa, just make sure you know how to install (and have neutral wire) or get better instructions, the provided ones are poorly written. This smart switch works great, both by hand and using Alexa. So far, the only issue I came across was in following the instructions for installation, which seem written by a non-English native person. In general it’s best to use these only if you know a bit about electrical wiring. But if you know what you’re doing, and have the required neutral wire, then you will have no problem setting up. I would suggest finding general instructions or more thorough instructions from a similar switch, like WeMo’s. That will more clearly explain the setup process. As for getting it set up with Alexa, I had little issue, although as with many such smart devices it wants you to have an account with them to get up and running. But the info required to establish your account is minimal. Just learn and know what you’re doing before setup, and these are perfectly fine choices, especially on a budget. Review will update if problems arise in the first month or two.

Nice low cost WiFi switch without tech support
If you want tech support buy Lutron. This is basically a disposable switch that is not supported. They have a tech support number but nobody answers. Lutron is staffed by caring technicians that will bend over backwards to help. You decide… take a chance with low cost stuff that usually works or get the best at a price with excellent support to insure that you have a working product for many years to come.

Keeps losing wifi connection
When it gets the connection everything works fine. It is located about 5 feet away from a modern wifi access point, so I'm sure it is getting a very good signal.

Gosund's app is very poor
Switch itself is good, well made. Installation into gangbox went fine. Trying to connect to Alexa, not so good. Got stuck in endless loop of do this, now do this, now do that again, now do this again. Finally tried making the connection using Smart Life app, got it on the first try. Recommend you do the same if you buy this.

Installations are really easy and instructions are good. It is a breeze to pair with Smart Life app. When they like to work, it works great. But the issues are they are randomly on strikes, and disconnected from wifi. They seem to go to sleep, but it takes a lot of time to wake them up by manually turning up and off the switches. When they woke up, they work fine again until they decide to go on strike again. They become expensive manual switches. Thanks Amazon generous return policy, I returned them to buy smart switch from a different vendor.

Excellent option for Tuya Smart Home
Smart switches can be a PITA - we to buy products that are support 'TUYA'. This allows one login / app to initialize / program smart product & integrate into Google Home. The switches were seen right away by the TUYA app (most you have to 'find'). Once set-up it worked exactly like it should - no surprises. One good, maybe bad, thing is the device sounds as if it has a mechanical relay, and a 'beefy' onne at that. IDK about longevity but suspect this will be a 'go to' brand in the future.
