Lacks documentation
First off, functionally I had no issues with this smart plug and has performed well in the time I've had it. Aside from that, getting it to a point of being functional was quite a chore. The minimal documentation included was barely adequate but provided clues to setting up the app. Registration is required to do anything and if I were to rate that alone, it would be one star. Register on my phone? No. Register on my tablet? No. Register on my computer? Not quite. It actually took trial and error and then a combination to create an account. (I would think this would be the easy part so I would consider buying more of your product Gosund.) App installed (finally) and with that came the tedious task of actually connecting the smart plug to it. Again, documentation is quite poor. What it didn't tell me was that I had to be in near darkness in order to see the indicator blinking. Needless to say I wasted a lot of time trying to get the dang thing to blink in normal lighting conditions. Other things that the documentation doesn't tell you... you have more "switches" in the app than what are available on the device. I had 5 for a three outlet switch. (6 outlets but three are always on.) One of the extra is for all three switchable outlets and the other extra is to turn off the USB charging ports. And since it doesn't tell you which is which, it's more trial and error for you to get the name right. The USB ports also have a light to indicate they are getting power but it's only slightly more visible in normal lighting so if you're checking them, best do it in a dark room. Once connected, the app seems to work fine for turning the switches on/off. I would like to point out that the app appears to be one big, and quite unnecessary, advertisement. The plug functions are buried. somewhere.... and what appears to likely be a design error or change, the switchable plugs are on the right-hand side of the outlet (looking at it) and not on the left as the documentation and app depicts. Each switchable outlet has its own LED to indicate its on/off status. The LED on the non-switchable side never turns off. The app does have schedule and countdown capabilities like other smart plugs for remedial scheduling. In relative terms, it was fairly easy to add the skill to Alexa. While it was tedious, it was nowhere near as difficult as setting up the app. Be warned there are two places to change the names of the switches but you have to edit the name in the "smart plug" screen for Alexa to recognize the new name. (The other names are apparently ignored.) I have only done remedial on/off with Alexa at this time but it does function. Overall I will be avoiding Gosund products based simply on the poor app usability and documentation.

Bought 2 almost a year ago. Works well
I purchased this one and was happy enough to buy a 2nd one just a week later. Works as expected but like almost all smart devices you need to be able to connect to 2.4ghz wifi. This has nothing to do with your 5g phone. I think I sense some confusion in the folks that rated this a 1 star. I see the biggest complaint with most people is the app. I use the smartlife app which works with most items that originally came from China. You probably don't need a bunch of proprietary apps. Smartlife does not have much in the way of ads. And as most apps, (when it askes) just tell it to not "notify" you if you don't want the constant updates. Everything defaults to wanting to notify you of any and everything, annoying. The 2nd thing is connecting. If the automated "fast blinking" is not seeing your device then choose slow blink mode when you reset it which turns on the devices local wifi connection. You should then see it as a wifi connection choice. So the steps would be, tell the app what device you are connecting, select which wifi for the device to connect to then connect to the devices wifi connection and the app should do the rest. The app allows you to control the 3 smart sockets on the device as well as another to turn the USB's on or off. The USB's are connected as 1, either all on or all off. The other 3 plugs are just on, not controlled.

Works well
No issues with it working, but set up was very difficult for me. It was hard to see the necessary blinking light during the pairing process. Once set up it works well.

Easy smart home integration
Only works on 2.4 GHZ signal. but only takes a few minutes to pair. Can be used stand alone through the app or paired in through Alexa or Google for voice commands and integration. 3 smart and 3 hot plugs along with multiple USB ports makes for an ideal set up in an office or bedroom. The only draw back is that you have to remember to update it's app or it will stop working. Overall a pretty solid piece of tech though

Buy the White-A (not the White), they are identical and $2-3 cheaper
The White-A model is always $2-3 cheaper than the White. The description seems the same, so I posted question to ask. I don't get any answer and decided to order both to check out myself. As you see from the pictures, the top is White-A and bottom is White. They are identical in size, color, function, packing and the printed model # on the back. Wondering why they are price different!!

Took a minute to figure out how to connect
these are awesome once you figure out how to connect. I had to use the AP mode and use the smart life wifi. took me a day or two to figure this out, but once I did they connected and work perfectly! I wasted a lot of time making sure my 5g would work with this since it says 2.4G but if you have verizon home internet 2.4G works with the 5G. and don't need to worry bout this at all.

solo 3 enchufes son inteligentes
creí que los 6 enchufes eran inteligentes, solo 3 son inteligentes y 3 no lo son, los puertos usb también son inteligentes, esto me genera conflicto, ya que lo compré para poder apagarlo a cierta hora desde mi trabajo, ya que me dejan la plancha encendida en mi casa, no solucione mi problema ya que pues igual conectan la plancha en el enchufe inteligente que en el enchufe que no es inteligente y por lo tanto no puedo controlar el encendido y apagado del electrodoméstico en cuestión, creo que todos deberían ser inteligentes, por eso le doy solo 4 estrellas

Me duró 1 noche ya ya no sirvió
Lo probé en la noche antes de dormir y primero si funcionó, se vinculo a la app muy rapido, al igual que alexa.... los switches inteligentes cuando estan activados de vez encuando se desactivaban y volvian a activarse pero aun asi respondian al comando de voz..... al siguiente día ya no prendia ninguno de los 3 spots, intenté reiniciarlo pero tampoco pude reiniciarlo, no pude mas hacer que se prendieran o que al menos se vincularan de nuevo con la app.... no lo compren, tuve que hacer una devolucion

Buen equipo, funciona bien con varias apps
Funciona bien el apagado/encendido programado individualmente para cada contacto. He usado la app del fabricante y Alexa para controlar, todo bien. Físicamente tiene buena construcción. El único detalle a considerar, es que se debe de montar en un contacto doble, en uno sencillo no se puede porque tiene un pin para encajar en una segunda toma.

Just work for 3 months after that become a piece of junk!!!, Contacted Gosund technical support and their troubleshoot is just to make You feel like they know but they don't know anything!! maybe are just normal people and they just send YouTube videos by link to follow the solution but if the device is not answering to the reset why You Will follow a vídeo tocino ect the device to the network if it's frozen.....really Bad experience with this device and their behibd technical support. Really don't waste your money and then your time trying to fix it, You just Will angry as me when after that they said that cannot validate the 1 year guarantee.... Solo funcionó por 3 meses después de eso solo es un pizza papeles gigante y muy feo, contacte a soporte técnico de Gosund que al parecer no tienen nada de conocimiento, sabiendo que el dispositivo no responde a reset ni nada están tercos con que hagas pruebas conectándolo a la red desactivando todo creando una nueva red sin dispositivos conectados jajajajaja todo para que desistas de tratar de solucionar el problema al final después de hacer las pruebas que sabía no funcionarían no me hicieron válida la garantía de 1 año con ellos que revisara con el vendedor. No pierdan su dinero y el tiempo tratando de arreglar el equipo, MEJOR NO COMPREN NADA Y AHORRENSE PROBLEMAS Y EL ENOJO!!

EL motivo de la calificación es porque tiene 6 enchufes 3 entradas de USB los cuales 3 son los que puedes utilizar con alexa nada mas 3 entradas de USB los puedes utilizar también con alexa pero se apagas los 3 juntos los otros 3 simplemente sirven como enchufes nada mas
