Close to the original Gerber Cloth Diapers
This is the closest I could find the original Gerber Cloth Diapers circa late 1980’s; as shown in the last three pictures. Can’t speak to the absorbency just yet, but the diapers are soft out of the package and washed up well. The stitching around the edges could be of higher quality. Comprised of 100% cotton these will shrink (as the originals did) when washed on warm according to the package directions. The middle inner does contain an inner layer of cotton, but the thickness is a quarter of the size when compared to the cotton batting found in the originals. Overall, I’m quite satisfied with this purchase and plan to use these as burp cloths and in emergencies as backup inners with the Esembly cloth diaper system. Will update review upon use.

Great burp cloths!!
I have sewn a decorative fabric over the center padding and they become great burp cloths. Cute too!!

Not what I was looking for
I was planning on using these as an actual cloth diaper/insert in my pocket diapers. When washed they warp and have to be stretched / reshaped. They do the job but I prefer Gerber's gauze version for that purpose. Great absorbency though and look like they'd make a good burp rag, cleaning rag etc.

Large, absorbent, versatile.
These burp cloths are bomb! All three of my babies have been big on spitting up, and these are the only cloths that have worked for us. They are large enough to cover your whole shoulder and then still large enough (and absorbent enough) to fold in half and use again once baby "uses" on side. Sometimes I even fold it a second time in a pinch! Love that they are organic cotton, too. They shrink a bit after use, but we continue to use them as kitchen cloths and to cover jars as we ferment foods. They're versatile.

I love these diapers to make burp clothes for baby presents. It’s hard to find the 6 ply thickness. These were perfect and price was right too! Will be ordering more!

3 PLY, nice quality but not as absorbent as 6 ply!
We are using these as burp cloths and they are working well. Note that these are 3 ply, so they are much thinner than other Gerber prefolds. These are made of a very soft gauzy cotton. They wash really well. The middle portion is quite absorbent (where they material is thickest) but the outer edges are very thin. Overall I prefer the 6 ply cloths because they are more absorbent. It's worth paying a little bit more to get a more absorbent cloth in my opinion!

Burp cloths
I make burp cloths from these, just add some pretty flannel to the panel. My daughter in law loves the absorbency they offer. They make great baby gifts, and many moms ask me for more because they love them so much.

Not as large, thick or sturdy as other brands
Was a bit disappointed, for such an established name brand, really didn't deliver. Much smaller, thinner, less absorbent and flimsier than Kawaii Baby or other brands. Even just the initial wash seemed to set the pre-folded centres on some of these sort of off track, as if they were somehow separated from themselves. Not a top quality investment.
