Fits snuggly

The filter fits snuggly into the machine. The last one I bought was a little loose in the machine and turned black from the pre-filter shortly after I installed it. The black pre-filter is thick I made sure and vacuumed it before installed in hopes did does not turn the white filter black like the last one I installed from a different seller. I am impressed but it is a bit pricey. Decided to spend more because we will be doing some work in our house and wanted to insure that we had a good quality filter to capture the dust and I am sure this one will fit the bill.

Works really well

I've got asthma and severe allergies and I love my Winix 5300-2. This is the second set of filters I've bought, they are the genuine Winix replacements. The true Hepa filter I replaced was a year old and completely full of filth. The Hepa and the pre filters also trap odors really, really well. I live in an apartment and my ( luckily former, now evicted) neighbor smoked ridiculous amounts of w*** and made my apartment smell like road kill. Not only did that trigger my asthma, but the smell drove me nuts. I got the Winix 5300-2 for my bedroom and kept it near the wall where the smoke was coming in through the electrical outlets, and it made a huge difference. ( yes, that's a thing that can happen. It also came in through the bathroom ventilation, but I'd just turn on the exhaust fans) I definitely recommend if you have asthma or severe allergies. ( or an inconsiderate neighbor )

This filter set fits the Winix 6300 perfectly

I have an older Winix 6300 air purifier that takes the type A 115115 replacement filter set. The filter set comes with four activated carbon pre-filters and one True HEPA filter. I change the pre-filter about every three months and HEPA filter lasts about a year before it needs to be replaced. This set fits perfectly and is the same quality as the original filter set. They are more expensive than other replacement filter brands, but I know these fit properly and perform well.

Not as Good as the Originals that Came with My Winix Machine

I went with the OEM filters because I didn't want to risk getting questionable quality with a purifier that I depend on for health. Not sure if it is better then other cheaper brands, I just know that they are not of the same quality that came with the machine and they are way over priced for what they are. Way of the world these days.

fits great seems to work fine

if you don't get the fit of the filters right you end up with guck in your motor - which will make the unit burn out that much faster, I chose to go with the brand name to avoid that, and liked the package and how sturdy it was and how the fit of the filters is spot on, For me, its worth the extra money.

Genuine Winix Type A (115115) filter, high cost but does work

I bought this reluctantly (due to unreasonably high price) about 6 months ago after trying a few 3rd party/compatible filters (none of which lived up to my expectation which wasn't high btw, knowing that they were 3rd party). It was shipped and SOLD by Amazon.ca. The package includes 1x HEPA filter and 4x disposable carbon pre-filters; they came in a retail box (shown in the picture). NOTE: contrary to what the description stated on amazon (which was not entire accurate), this filter is compatible with the following models, as stated on the box it came in; * 5300/5300-2 * 6300/6300-2 * P300 * AM90 * C535 This particular filter is of 'Type A' (Item: 115115) and at least one of which should be readily visible/indicated on the air purifier, usually inside/back of the front panel (see picture 2). The HEPA filter measures 31.9 x 41.5 cm. The carbon pre-filters are only slightly smaller because they fit right 'inside' the HEPA filter. One of the biggest issues with the 3rd party filters that I found was the fact that they all seemed to allow much LESS airflow out of the air purifier which really was counterproductive and defeated the purposes of the air purifier because its ability to 'move air' is fundamental to air purification. No airflow = no air purification. I've performed some quick tests for both Winix and 3rd party filters and here are the results; Winix: level 3 = 3.24 m/s, level 4 = 7.59 m/s 3rd party: level 3 = 1.57 m/s, level 4 = 3.42 m/s So at level 3 (2nd highest), Winix moved 2.06x times more air and 2.2x times as much air was moved at the highest (level 4). This is a HUGE difference. Well, at the end of the day, what really matters is whether the filter does its job. Although this Winix filter is more than twice as expensive as others, it works at least. *** It's much appreciated if you found the review helpful, please click on the Helpful button below ***
