Needed this on the air handler at home. Service call would of easily been over $200 for a BS diagnosis. Little bit of brains to searching google and my issue of an intermittent blower fan was a simple fix. Note, turn off the power and check with a multimeter to be sure the capacitor is discharged off your unit before removing. Plenty of videos online show the correct process to doing so.

Works ok in a pinch

If you are buying as an HVAC repair part, this works ok for an emergency, but consider using an oil cooled capacitor instead. This will fix for a while but longevity is so so.

White dot, Yellow dot

The Capcom capacitors seem to work OK. Do not rely upon the yellow dot for above nominal or the white dot for below nominal. I received two caps that had yellow dots but actually tested below nominal. So much for providing objective evidence of post manufacturing quality testing.

It works it’s a capacitor. If you do not know what you are doing it could kill you.

WARNING: RISK OF ELECTRIC SHOCK THE SORT THAT MAY CAUSE DEATH! Yes this is a large capacitor for starting an electric motor. It works as a direct replacement in my case for when I replaced a HVAC blower motor. Thought it was a good idea to replace an ageing capacitor at the same time. No problems. Should probably say for those that do not know. This is one of those capacitors you do not want to touch an energised one. If you do not know what you are doing with electricity please hire an electrician or HVAC certified person depending on your use case. Just think that this capacitor is outputting enough power to start and electric motor that cannot start by mains electricity alone. You have been warned. My easy to install rating is my experience not to be taken as anyone should attempt this as for the reasons stated above I do not think a person that knows nothing about capacitors and high voltage and current electricity should touch this one.
