Cannot mount laptop tray and monitor at the same time.

This is a very well-made item (desktop mounted version), with the exception of the mic boom, which is super cheap. Also didn't come with any 1/4-20 studs, so I couldn't mount the phone holder inside the ring light, like the photos show, until I ordered some studs to add. The worst thing, though, is that you cannot mount the laptop tray and a monitor at the same time--both the VESA bracket and the laptop tray connect to a bracket that mounts on an arm, and they only include one of those brackets. I contacted Gator, and they said that was a design decision to prevent someone from overloading the tree. They will NOT sell you another bracket. Nowhere in any of their ads or descriptions do they mention this. Debating whether I want to return it. I could probably make it do what I want with some added engineering, but I shouldn't have to. Pretty disappointed overall. Other important notes: phone holder won't hold an iPhone 11 Plus in a case; it's not big enough. Tablet holder is pretty decent, though. Instruction sheet for assembly has insanely tiny print and illustrations--can't even read them with a magnifier. Great concept; needs better execution.

Ordered for a lighting setup rig

I ordered this as part of a small tattoo setup to hold my iPad as well as flood fill lighting. It's incredibly easy to put together, and I like that you can build it per your own personal specs. My only issue which is kind of a big deal is it the ball clamps are not heavy duty enough to support a lot of the lighting features that I use. My flood fill light is about half a pound and the ball will not hold it in place. I have broken the twisting knob trying to get it twisted down tight enough for it not to fall. I would not recommend this if you're using professional lighting, but it should hold small lightweight ring lights.

Nice stand, but so complicated to assemble!

Overall, this is a high quality, substantial stand that is heavyweight and durable. It does the job of several other things like tripods, etc - will hold your laptop, phone, serves as a ring light, and more. However, it is really, really hard to put together - properly, at least. Even with the instructions! It's not super obvious at first which arms go where or more importantly, what position they go in. So there's a lot of trial and error involved. I took a star off for that reason. Once you do get this together, however, it is very functional and solves a lot of needs at once. The base is very sturdy too, and it has wheels, so it's very easy to move around as needed. Overall, this stand is expensive, but in my opinion, worth it, as it is very functional and can serve as an all purpose stand for content creation. Just bring your patience when you are assembling it...you're going to need it!

Useful and practical for various teaching and speaking

The media could not be loaded. This stand is very accommodating. I’m using it for my iPad 10 Gen. There is plenty of space for bigger screens. I like that my phone can also be above it. I use that for changing my slides. The stand looks professional and is made of quality components. Highly Recommend, Trust you found this review honest and helpful:-)

Great kit overall…a few things to note

Overall, this is a great setup and you could use straight out of the box. However, a few small changes will make a big difference. There’s a lot to like right out of the box. The wheels have a rubber coating so they don’t scratch floors and roll easily. The base and main stem are solid. The height adjustments are made with a screw clamp inside of a channel on the main stem. This system works well. The arms move smoothly and only adjust vertically by moving up and down the stem, so there’s no creep due to weight. The laptop holder is surprisingly good. It grabbed and held onto my 16” MacBook without issue. A few things I would upgrade right away. The extension arm for the microphone could not be cheaper. Since the mount is universal, I would suggest picking up a different arm for $50. The ring light is small and doesn’t cast the best light. I added a larger led light, which casts a much nicer light. Overall, this is a worthwhile kit and zip recommend it. You can then modify to suit your needs.

This thing is something else

Do you want to stream video and need a device that can handle the job of a dozen stands and mounts? This is it. This thing will be overkill for most people. It can have a laptop, light, camera, and microphone all ready to twist and prep for your use. Overall, this thing looks like a weird robot, but it is actually very useful for your streaming needs.

Good quality

Very cool product, easy to put together, which is good because instructions have small pictures for some pieces and are rather general. They did not help when trying to install the ring light attachment. The ring light took a lot of trial and error to attach, but it's on there nice and sturdy, which goes for everything else. The wheels glide very nicely and are easy to fix in place. You can adjust the arms to make it fairly compact as well. Would really like if the manual were better or if the attachments needed less time to figure out the order of the parts to screw.

Great for content creating it literally holds everything that you need! 2 phones as well as an iPad. Light is very bright and the holding stand is durable and is good quality to hold the weight of multiple devices
