Fun "reactive" pellet trap!
Sometimes I want to shoot things other than paper targets. Tin cans are fun, but it's always nice to have a variety of targets. This trap combines several nice & fun features. It is "reactive". So, when you hit one of the circle targets, that circle swings up into the top of the trap and stays hidden. Assuming, you hit all 4 circle targets, all 4 will stay up and hidden away. In order to lower them for another round of shooting, you simply shoot the center square target - you don't have to move out of your shooting position! If you hit the square, it releases the 4 circle targets, which then fall back down into position and are ready for another round of shooting! The circle targets are two sizes, so you can challenge yourself on a bigger and smaller size target. The trap is pretty small. The photo on the Amazon page makes it difficult to tell what size it is. But, for pellet shooting, it's fine. Make sure you heed the instructions about safe shooting distance. Since this is a metal trap, there is ample chance for a ricochet or bounce back under certain conditions. Read the instructions carefully for safety. I have only used mine for about 10 shots so far, so I cannot yet comment on durability. So far, it works as advertised and is a lot of fun! It is very rewarding to hear that metal "clang" when you strike the target! The trap does have a few open areas on the side, so lead shavings from used pellets can/will escape when you move the trap around. This could be a problem if used in areas with children, pets, etc. (ie, lead poisioning). Just be careful to clean up if that is a concern where you shoot. Maybe these holes are there by design, but I take points off for that because it can create a mess. I recommend it overall. I will edit my review after I have had a chance to put more rounds into this trap, but my initial opinion is that it's a very good product! It provides "reactive" targets, while trapping most, if not all, of your pellets.

Great Product, One Design Flaw I Have Identified
I've had one of these for going on 7 years. Very early on, internal ricocheting shattered the white plastic spacers on the rods inside that support and catch the targets. Once that happened the target stopped working since the targets would no longer reliably catch on their hooks. I got some plain old drinking straws from McDonalds, cut them to the desired length, slit them down the side and just replaced the old broken pieces of plastic with the straws wrapped around the rods. The straw's elastic property prevents them from shattering and keeps them in place. The hard plastic used for the spacers is a design flaw, IMO, but is easily remedied. It's been more than 5 years since I did that modification. I've left this thing out in the back yard for months on end. It got a little rusty in places but it still functions perfectly. It's an excellent training tool, I use a 3' by 2' plywood backstop and plink in my basement to my heart's content. It has really helped my consistency, even at 7 feet these small targets present a challenge. I plan to buy a second one along with a second Crosman 3576 (a surprisingly accurate little shooter) so I can race with my friends or not have to hand the pistol back and forth while shooting with my wife. I hope I get as lucky with my second Gamo Rocker as I did with my first.

Good but.....
It says: The Gamo rocker target Gallery airgun pellet trap is an all steel trap that is recommended for use with lead airgun pellets only and airguns with a muzzle velocity of less than 750 FPS. And they mean it I use a Gamo 6110017154 Varmint Air Rifle .177 Cal and after a sort while all the moving part literally fell apart! But other than that it is great.

A cool target setup but it is limited to low power air rifles
I finally get this target that I have been desiring for years. It is marketed by Gamo which is the same brand of air rifle I purchased 6 years ago and which I gave away simply because it was so loud due to a 1250 fps pellet speed. So it did not cross my mind that a Gamo product would have a recommended pellet speed below 1,000 fps. In fact, it is less than 700 fps meaning that it is a great target practice gun for either high-end target guns that average less than 600 fps or low-end pellet guns that are in that same category. But I primarily practice with a PCP that sends pellets at 1,000 fps so that gun is not good for this target and virtually every gun that I have seen on the shelves that is marketed by Gamo very much exceeds the recommended speed. Also, even BB guns are not recommended even though I will probably use this with the old Daisy as it basically spits the BB out. I am keeping this as I will probably get something like a Crossman pump pellet gun for my grandchildren to practice with and they will love the way the target works (and it does).

"It's a Clinker!"
Quote is from A Christmas Story. Works well, small trap, so even if you miss & hit the backsplash you'd have to have good aim. Nice portable size for travel. Can bring to a friends: garage / backyard / party / whatever. Easy to tell if you hit the target or the backsplash, because even if the target doesn't get pushed up all the way (example - hit side of target) the target will still move, VS if you hit the backsplash it makes a different sound. Used about 1,000 rounds on it & it appears to handle the beating okay. Good color contrast. I'm thinking of painting the targets yellow. Wouldn't leave it out in the rain (as some other reviewers pictures show rust from possible rain/water).

Very cool but VERY SMALL
First one came slightly damaged at the bottom but amazon was amazing and sent a new one free of charge and let me keep the old one. It works really well however it is very small. You have to be very close and with bb's that can be dangerous but it is still awesome little thing.

Works great and lots of fun
Perfect for target shooting and lessening shot in the environment. Arrived with a broken lock washer which I easily replaced.

Solid build, does the job
Usually fire at practice targets, but this is much more fun than shooting paper, much more satisfying when you have a goal to achieve (getting all swinging targets to stay up)

Looks Good
Hubby here..... Haven't tried it yet. Shipping was was quick but postal system damaged it. Will look into an exchange and do a fresh review after. =============== Update: Amazon replaced the damaged product. This one is in great shape. Haven't shot it yet, just gave each target a hard flick with my finger to make sure it operated well. The size is fine for 10 meter pellet pistol using low velocity, imo. It's made of very thin metal and the linkage doesn't look heavy duty, hence the included instructions recommend very low velocities. =============== Update #2 : I had my Mrs squirrel this target away for Xmas. Yesterday I shot 20 rounds with a 1377 at 5 pumps using RWS Hobby, and a 1322 at 3 pumps using RWS Superdomes. All at 7 yards. First of all, what a hoot ! Great fun ! Second of all, no damage to target. At this distance and velocities there's just a little lead dust on the target. There's a rectangular slot on the bottom/side,tip the target and the pellets slide out for disposal. I highly recommend this product, and at lower velocities and distances of approximately 6-12 meters.
