Helping my lower back and posture, but instructions are tiny and assembly was a bit of a pain.

As I approach my 50's I don't want to turn into a hunchback - working out helps but I noticed I am slumping more due to sitting and working all day. Really wanted a chair to help with my posture, lower back and neck pain, and I purchased this after reading the reviews. Setup wasn't too bad - the instructions are printed very small (even the pictures, and yes I was wearing my glasses), and some of the written instructions made me chuckle ("press hard with hammer", for example, that still makes me laugh). Biggest issue with the installation was putting the small plate on the bottom of the wheel base - when putting the wheel base onto the main chair, it won't insert all the way (not even with my full body weight on it, nor "pressing hard with hammer" lol), so I just had to leave it most of the way inserted, and toss the little plate and screw to cover the bottom hole. I am surprised at how much I like sitting on this chair - it's very sturdy, surprisingly so, seems well made, and way more comfortable than my desk chair. So far, it's helping me to sit straighter for longer. I also don't catch myself slumping over into the hunchback position - so far so good! I have very high hopes for this chair long-term.

One small flaw in the chair

You can't have the ball inflated all the way or the back rest is pointless and you might feel too tall for your desk. My desk is 2ft 2in off the ground and I'm 140 pounds so the ball doesn't squish vary much when I sit on it so I had to deflate it quite a bit just so I could get my legs under my desk but also I'm 5ft tall and I can't reach the floor on a good day. so keep that in mind but luckily I have adhd so I fold my legs under me like in my pictures so it's great for the bouncyness and for trying to fix my posture and my legs don't go numb vary much cause there's only like 2 good ways to sit on this chair

Bouncy!

I got this to help out with my back/posture and to avoid being sedentary while I was in physical therapy, and it 100% works. I was worried about the size, that it might be too small, I'm 6' 6", but it's not at all. I had to let some air out of it because I filled it up as much as I could at first which is a no-no so don't do that. It really is generally fun to sit on. It's impossible to not want to bounce. I don't think I'll go back to a boring desk chair again.

Easy to Assemble

Not the most attractive but one of the better looking exercise ball office chairs. Easy to assemble and pretty comfortable with the flexibility of using in the chair or alone.

Really helps when I'm stuck at my desk all day

I struggle with back and neck pain and poor posture. I have a desk job and don't always get an opportunity to get up and move around much during my workday. If I'm feeling stiff or painful, I switch to using this and it really helps me. My body is able to get some of the movement it needs instead of staying completely stationary, and it corrects my back posture because it helps me sit straighter. I will say for people on the shorter side, this may be a bit high. I'm 5'8", and I have trouble if I try to use it without tennis shoes on. They give me just the little extra height I need to get on and off of the ball easily. For me this was not a problem, but if I were shorter it might have led me to return it. Also, for some reason, sometimes when I roll it one of the wheels will lock for no apparent reason. Overall I'm really happy with this purchase.

Swivel doesn't swivel

Gave 4 stars mainly because of the stability I feel while sitting in it. Rolls fairly easily, but I paid extra for the ability to swivel because I have an L shaped desk and wanted the ease. But unfortunately the swivel unit with ball bearings doesn't move. I would return the swivel unit if I thought I could get credit for the difference between swivel and non-swivel.

Good Qulaity

Would have give a 5 for assembly, but attaching to top to the bottom was very difficult and now it will not swivel now because its a very tight (thats one of the reason for the purchase) Sturdy and looking forward to using !!
