Great addition to our swing set!

We added this to our swing set to replace the individual kid swings and it’s been so nice. You can adjust the chains to the angle of which the bench sits and add cushions for comfort! It has been so relaxing and a great addition to our backyard. The bench came in separate pieces and it wasn’t too bad to assemble. It’s pretty sturdy and holding up in the rain as well.

Not worth the money

I typically don't leave reviews, as you normally "get what you pay for", however, this was sadly a terrible purchase. I'll start with the positives.. it's actually a very cute swing! The wood is a lovely color and it looks very nice in our front yard! It's small but quaint and looks like it belongs with our little flower garden! That is why I gave it 3 stars. It wasn't difficult to set up once you figured out what pieces belonged where. It did take me about 2 hours, however, the tools were so bad and I was missing 2 pieces, so I gave it 3 stars because of that. The canopy worked very well against the rain! It was downpouring and once it let up, I went out to see the damage and the canopy managed to hold all the water without much getting through! I was very impressed by that! The negatives far outweigh the positives, however. It came damaged (lots of knicks and actual cracks in the wood), but it's for the outdoors, so I didn't let that deter me. The tools were very cheap so while I was tightening things, it was actually bending the Allen wrench! I was missing 2 of the screws I needed for the reinforcing brackets. The wood is extremely soft so when you are tightening everything, you need to be extremely careful not to go too far or it will sink into the wood. One side of the canopy is out of alignment, so it doesn't rest snug on one side. The wood seems to be "bleeding" some kind of sticky substance? It's beading on the arms of the swing but that's probably normal? I'm not very sure. This swing would've been worth it if it was maybe $100. For nearly $400 it was definitely not a good investment. I hope this review helps someone. I'll add pictures once I'm home from work. Now all that being said, I put it together, managed to get parts from my local hardware store to finish the project and actually enjoyed the swing.. for two weeks. The entire frame started leaning to one side! The swing chair itself was hitting the wood! So my first thought was maybe it sunk into the ground? So I moved it (btw, I'm five feet and about 115, my daughter is a little taller and weighs about 105 so it wasn't due to maximum weight on the swing) come to find out, all the screws loosened up!! So, I worked on tightening everything back up and a week later I'm left with the frame shifting one more to one side! So frustrating!!

Not hard enough "hardwood"

Corners of thereat were both busted out when delivered. Lots of very thin styrofoam packing in the box, but was no match for the handling/shipping process. This wood looks almost like mahogany, but it was stained over. Rough finish as so many others have commented. I'm not going to send it back as the manufacture complaints about factory Covid problems, no workers, out of stock. They have a nice design (look) and I just decided to epoxy glue and clamp these joints back together. The wood evades me, but when something is marketed as a "hardwood" that is a bonus that NEEDS to be distinguished with the variety of wood. If the advertisement doesn't, then maybe it is a 'lesser hardwood.' Hardwood is generic word. There are plenty of varieties that are softer than others. If this was mahogany, or oak I doubt the corners would have broken. Luckily I'm handy with tools and if it breaks out more I'll strategically incorporate better hardwood as needed.

Pros: Looks beautiful once constructed Works well at the time of writing this review ( 5 days after construction) Cons: Instructions aren't complete, there are a couple of things you'll need to figure out yourself but not that hard The top of the canopy accumulates holds water, as it is loose and this creates puddles of water on top of the canopy You have to be very careful while assembling as some of the screws sink into the wood after max tightness. which may in turn break your swing if you over tighten Overall, this is the cheapest swing you will find on the market and it is very good bang for buck

A pleasure to assemble and use.

Love this porch swing. It arrived in a timely fashion, had clear assembly instructions, and even included to tools to assemble. I had it up in less than hour (the ceiling hooks were pre- installed), and everything needed to install it was in the box. I have a tall ceiling (10’) on the porch, and the chains were long enough with 1 link to spare. it is a standard size so when went hunting for a cushion, the first place we walked into had a variety in stock. One recommendation if you build it - an electric screwdriver with a 3mm metric Allen bit will make assembly far easier.

Definitely worth the price

I purchased swing hung from the A frame to replace a broken bench located near a child's play set in my yard. The price was right and it was delivered sooner than promised. It is well engineered and well packed in a cardboard container. All pieces arrived in excellent shape and nothing was missing. Some reviews said the pieces were damaged but not my experience. The shipped unit is a little heavy and the box was tightly packed. If it was dropped or mishandled during shipping I could see the possibility for damage (as with anything). The shipped unit arrived without damage I read other reviews talking about shoddy workmanship but I found this not to be the case. All pieces fit together well and work together well to give the piece its good structural integrity. Instructions were a little vague but I built it in about 1 hour while working at a relaxed pace (not counting time spent unpacking and inventory, add 20 minutes). I am very happy with this product. I was actually a little surprised and some of the design details regarding the assembly hardware (bolts, etc...), techniques that I didn't expect of a unit at this price. Definitely worth the price and I'm glad I purchased it.

Porch swing

The swing was #hipped with a few parts missing from Part 2. I r3ceived a cr3dit from Amazon and purchased 5he missing parts. It was easy to assemble and looks great. I’m a satisfied customer.

Chains different lengths with exact same amount of links. Cheaply made

We purchased this swing seat for our bar and realised the chair was wonky. After checking everything we noticed one chain is a different length to the other one and both have the exact amount of links. These have been cheaply made.
