Just so amazing!!
Such a powerhouse and does what a blender is supposed to do!! I threw away so many cheap Asian blenders I swore I'd never buy another. Then I found this beauty MADE IN THE USA and it has earned the high price tag! I make 3 cups of smoothies everyday with big chunks of ice and frozen fruit and this baby doesn't even blink. I pureed a whole pumpkin in less time than it would take to break out my food processor. I wish it came in stainless steel because the big black chunky thing is not the prettiest thing on the counter, bur all things considered -- this Waring Commercial TBB175 Blender with Variable Speed Control, Black -- is a keeper for generations to come. And, I feel great about my purchase because it supports jobs and encourages ingenuity in AMERICA!!! Also, it has the unique feature of being able to pop out the little engine thing-y that typically burns out on blenders over time -- AND, GET THIS -- WARING WILL SELL YOU AN AFFORDABLE REPLACEMENT PART !!!! Seriously!! So, no guilt about the plastic container, because you can literally keep this thing going for so long it will never end up in a landfill. And, on a personal note, now that I can make my own super yummy smoothies, I kicked the ice cream habit which was killing me cholesterol-wise and my bowels also thanked me. Believe it not, they aren't paying me to say this and I don't know anyone who works for Waring. This is just a great product and we need more of this in America. I remember when there were good paying jobs with Corning in my hometown and when they shut down, people lost their homes and our little corner of the world became a welfare ghost town all because the majority of people started buying knockoffs that rip you off in the end with poor quality. Just say no to foreign ripoff crap that is killing the environment in places where they are made where people live like rats in factory housing. Say yes to buying a quality product that is better for the environment because it lasts a lifetime. Spend your money to support our economy because we pay a living wage to workers who deserve it! And say yes to a kitchen appliance that really gets the job done! You won't regret this blender.

Great blender
Superb product. It is very solid and well built. We use daily for making juices with vegetables, fruits, and herbs... it blends them flawlessly and quickly. Appreciate the simple manual controls. Although perhaps the blender is a tad expensive for home use, we've found it well worth the price. Highly recommend.

Quite large. A little more than I expected but that’s fine.
Love the power and speed.

Amazing unit
Had second thoughts on getting this blender as I had a kitchen aid prior, all I can say is that this blender is bar quality. The first time I used it on a mixed drink I let it run for 10 seconds and turned the ice into snow...this blender makes amazing smoothies as it crushes anything frozen you put in the unit. It cleans up quickly and I am very pleased with it.

Powerful Motor But Jar Leaks Badly (SEE PHOTO)
I purchased this blender with the toggle switches in March-2019 along with the 48 oz. stainless steel blending jar. (Purchased from a restaurant supply website). The motor is very powerful which is capable of obliterating anything. However, 3 months later the jar started leaking in between the stainless steel and the black, cast aluminum base of the container. The 2 pieces of metal are glued together with a silicone adhesive so there is no way to get in there to clean it out. I used my blender primarily for smoothies so you can imagine how gross the leakage became over time. Also, Waring does not make or sell replacement gaskets or blade assemblies for this model. I was told that the container cannot and should not be taken apart. After contacting Waring about the leak, they sent me a replacement and asked for the defective one to be sent back to them. Within 2 months the replacement began leaking, worse then the first one. I tried holding the container under running water in the sink to flush out the smoothie ingredients that had seeped in between the jar and base. It was then that the entire metal base fell off into the sink. A skinny strip of silicone glue was all that was holding it together. I barely had a dozen uses from this blender before the jar was rendered completely useless. I briefly considered buying the 64 oz. jar to replace it but worried it would have the same issue. Instead I'm going back to using a Vitamix with their new stainless steel container. The Waring Torq 2.0 is a serious disappointment and waste of money.
