Pretty good blender

I've used this blender for a few months now around once a day to make smoothies. I'm mostly satisfied with it for my use-case, although it could definitely be improved. The design and glass container (which is easier to clean than plastic) were preferable over more expensive blenders I've owned in the past. It could use the following improvements: - The motor should be stronger. Occasionally you have to shake the container to get it to continue blending. - It should include two glass containers instead of one glass and one plastic. - The straw should be metal. - The jar should be an actual mason jar (it's advertised as one, but it's not so you can't reuse lids or easily find a replacement). - It would be nice if there were a timer function, even something simple like automatically releasing the handle after 30-60 seconds if it's in a locked position. Currently, you have to hold it down manually the whole time. - It should be available on retailers other than Amazon. (If you're reading this review, please check that it isn't before purchasing.)

Effective & Cute

I am overall pleased with this smoothie maker. It is quieter than others that I have owned. It is super cute with the retro design and looks cute sitting on the counter. However, I wish a regular mason jar fit the blending element. That aspect of the description is deceiving. It doesn't look possible to get replacement jars which is unfortunate.

Es mi licuadora personal. Es fuerte pero hay que cuidarla. No ponerle trozos gigantes de hielo y fruta freezada. Solo uso polvos y arándanos y quizás banana fresca pero no la uso para pedazos grandes congelados de frutal Creo que cuidándola es perfecta y preciosa.

Good for the price

After having this for a few weeks and using it almost every day. I would say this is a good product for the price. I give it 3.7 stars, if you’re looking for something that will make single portions quickly with minimal mess get this product. I’m sure it won’t last very long but it’s cheap compared to other single serve blenders.

*Honest Review*

I chose this small 'blender' based on the nice retro style. It IS a cute little appliance, though much smaller than it appears in photo. It seems more like a toy from China and is very light weight with thin plastic parts (the main jar and inserts). Just for liquids and powders mainly...I would hesitate to add anything too fibrous, unless the items were finely chopped before mixing. The motor sounds a bit rough, and it's not an ice 'crusher'. Also, there are no apparent replacements for the thin plastic jar or the small glass jar. Disposable?????

Almost perfect

I love the old fashion look and the little lever to operate it. It does a great job blending frozen fruit to make smoothies. The only problem that i have with the product is the opening of the containers are too narrow. A larger circumference would make it much easier to fill up the container with the ingredients needed for a smoothie. It's pretty hard to stuff everything in through such a small opening and not make a mess.

You get what you pay for

I like the aesthetic of this blender, if you are looking to make simple things like smoothies then I would recommend but it’s definitely a cheap design. I wouldn’t recommend this to anyone that’s looking for a heavy duty blender but definitely useful for little things here and there.

Change Of Review

Usually reviews are changed from good to bad, but this one changed from bad to good. Decent little blender. Love that there's a glass jar included! I've used it about 5 to 10 times for smoothies, and it gets the job done. It's able to easily blend/chop through frozen fruit, provided there's enough liquid to keep things moving. It's not super loud either. I've heard the Ninja is crazy loud, but this one is fine even for the noise sensitive. Easy to clean. The rubber seal comes out from the blade holder for better cleaning. Be sure to correctly install it back, otherwise the glass jar or plastic cup will leak when upside down in the unit. Because of it leaking, I previously rated this blender 1 star. I've since figured it out and have had no more issues. I paid twenty-seven bucks, and I think that's a fair price. I probably wouldn't spend too much more than that, though

So far so good

So far so good. Purchased it then read the reviews so im keeping an eye on it to see if there is any issues. My advice would be to leave any hard frozen items soaking in the liquid you put in the blender so it doesn't work so hard when in use. Its not a very big blender so you don't want to use it as you would with a larger higher power blender. Don't rinse the glass mason jar in hot water after using it with frozen items. The change in temperature could cause the glass to break as that happens with many glassware from time to time. It is true that the Mason jar provided is not your standard Mason jar, therefore the blade will jot fit over just any jar if it does end up breaking. I use the hard plastic bottle more often because it comes with a top to make it a to go cup. Its BPA free which is great. I dont leave it plugged in I put it away when not in use and im careful with the cord. And I make sure I take the blender cup off once I'm done using it before unplugging it. Also I don't plug it in a outlet with any other appliances. As I said so far so good, treat it well and use it properly and keep in mind it's not a a big blender so don't use it like you would with something more high powered. It blends great, just take care of it. If something happens to it thats not from any fault of your own , well then. Cest la vie. Buy something eles that fits your needs. Trial and error. Nothing is perfect . Returning it or getting your money back may be a hassle, so don't waste your sanity on blender.

DOES THE JOB

I got this blender 1year ago for 27Cad and its still working. CONS *POOR DESIGN the rotating switch broke once and i had to take it all apart and remove the switch, Now it runs whenever i plug it in. Other than that it produces burning smell when you keep it running continously for like more than a minute or so.(this started happening 4-5months ago thats when i tried calling customer service) *POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE Waited for 1hour to wait for my turn and then my call got forwarded 2-3times and then i hung up out of frustration. PROS *WORTH THE 30$ It still blends everything i put into it, whether its raw oats(without water) or forzen fruits.
