This is NOISY, however it does the job for a good price.
I must have gotten a "lemon" as far as noise, as this 1.25 Frigidaire scares the heck out of whoever turns it on for their first time! Seriously, it sounds like a motorcycle engine is revving up under the sink, not a "quiet" disposal, at all. I may get some noise insulation, and wrap it around the unit under the sink. The contractor/electrician did not indicate it was any easier or harder to install it, and hook up the water and electric. On the plus side, it does the job on grinding up food, and I don't want to pay another electrician $200 to take it out, and put in a quieter one-I'll live with the noise as I only use it for 5-10 seconds, with water running, at a time. It's a good deal-there are trade offs. Hurricane Ian flooded my house, so this is a cheap fix, so I can live in the house another year or two until home values rise hopefully, and I can sell the house. Whoever buys it is buying the package for "lot value" in Naples, and will demolish it and put up a McMansion in it's place. That's another reason why I'm not going to invest more $$ in getting a quieter disposal. If you don't mind a very noisy disposal, then the price is good for a powerful disposal.

Nice Disposal with some Flaws to Consider
This disposal runs fine, at least for the two weeks I've had it in place. It's quiet and seems to grind up things fine but there are three items they could really stand to improve on. 1. The three bolts that tighten up the upper part which attaches to the sink are tightened with a screw driver. That's fine during installation because you will tighten them before you attach the disposal itself. But once you have the disposal installed and start using it the combined weight of the disposal and the vibrations it causes will require the 3 bolts to be tightened further. You need to either crank them on tight before installation or try to tighten them with the disposal in place. I have a strange screwdriver that is bent at a 90 degree angle so I was able to do it without removing the disposal but it was a pain! Why didn't they put a normal bolt ending on there that you can tighten with a wrench or socket? 2. The rubber fitting that blocks the entry into the disposal so that pieces of chopped garbage don't fly up and out blocks water from draining so if you run water while you are using the disposal you need to stand there with a spoon or something to hold the rubber thing open to let water drain into the disposal. Strange. 3. The plastic drain elbow that comes with the unit which lets water flow out the lower part of the disposal is not long enough to reach my setup. I had to do quite a bit of messing around with an elbow I got at home depot to make it work. I really should have returned it. It would have been very simple for them to provide a little longer elbow and if you didn't need that much length you can easily cut it shorter. You can't make it longer. Good luck. I would suggest getting the three bolts on plenty tight without stripping them before you attach the disposal.

Works great, pretty quiet. Easy install.
Everything went smoothly during installation. Only issue us that water drains very slowly, probably a side effect of making it quieter.

Giving this 5 stars for now judging just by looking at it and seeing how heavy and well built it seems to be! But I haven’t gotten this installed yet to see for myself how well it really will work yet? By reading other reviews though, I have high expectations of this disposal and hope it will work fantastically for a very long time without any unforeseen problems arising? If I do have any issues in the future I will update my review then. But for now I believe this will be a great disposal for my wife to use!

Noisy at first but after a day or two it is normal. This is powerful enough to eat a 2 x 4 x 8
It is a HEAVY DUTY item. I hoisted it into place with a car jack. It is powerful. Nuff said. The forst day was noisy but after a day or so the noise died down.

Really quiet, easy install, can snap into InSinkErator
The media could not be loaded. My InSinkErator badger 5 broke due to corrosion within 7 years. Was looking for a replacement that's a different brand. This one is great because it's compact, slimmer, and quieter. Also this snaps right into the previous garbage disposal sink mount. So I didn't need to get out the plumbers putty or anything. Great price on Amazon, comes with a 6 year warranty against malfunction and lifetime warranty on corrosion. Can't go wrong with this thing so far. The drain flange is fine. I read some reviews where they said it wasn't draining well but maybe this is a different model or an upgrade since those prior reviews. I have a video to show the sound and water drain. Unfortunately I don't have a before video of the badger to compare, but it's definitely noticeably quieter. I wouldn't say that it needs to be any quieter than it is. For under 100 bucks it's a great deal. The half horsepower is fine. I guess people aren't aware, you're supposed to put your food scraps in the trash or compost. The local water companies don't want anything going in the drain really except for water. FYI But for when stuff does go in there, it's no problem.

A little bit noisy but #1 on Consumer Reports
It attached to the existing Insinkerstor hardware so easy to install. It’s a little deeper so we lost some storage space. You need to wire in an on/off switch if you don’t have it already.

Mas de lo que esperaba
Quizá el previo que estuvo en mi cocina era muy ruidoso, sin embargo este modelo es completamente silencioso, fuerte, con mucha capacidad y el extra de los imanes que se sitúan para que no se cuelen cucharas o metales que pudieran echar a perder las aspas, es increíble. La entrega fue en tiempo y forma, sin embargo la caja interna (productor) venia en mal estado (rasgada y deteriorada)

The Frigidaire food disposal unit is probably a great unit except it's not compatible with the Australian 240volt power point outlets. Unfortunately I did not find this out until I received the item and saw 120volts printed on the box and power cord being completely different. This should have been made clear in the description but was not. It only stated as a corded food disposal unit.
