Drop material is good, sewing mediocre, platform material is trash
What I love: I love the material. The poly cotton blend looks very nice and Stiff. Once it is washed and ironed I think it will look great. I love that the same plates that are on the sides, are on the corners, and that there is also one at the Midway point at the foot of the bed. The color comparison photo, with the white paper for reference, has the amazonbasics bed skirt on the left and the fresh ideas bed skirt on the right. What I don't like: This says it measures 78 in width wise, indeed I only measure it unwashed and new at 76 and 1/2 in at the same at the foot. Also, the interior material is absolute junk. It's not really material. I will wash it according to directions and see how it comes out. The drop is not quite as consistent as I would like it to be though I don't think it will be a problem. It ranges from 13 and 3/4 inches to 14 in. Although, with the normal settling on a bed, and the fact that it's going to be an inch off the floor anyways, I don't think it's going to be noticeable. The care symbols indicate a gental cycle 80 degrees Fahrenheit or below, non-chlorine bleach, low temperature normal tumble dry, and maximum iron temperature. Obviously you would not iron the platform which is made of polypropylene. I Washed it on warm heavy duty warm cycle with some other blankets because I was willing to test the durability of the polypropylene. Dried on a medium setting. The platform part appears to be completely intact, I found one tiny tear in a corner which it's possible was pre-existing. The skirt is mildly wrinkled which is in line with a poly cotton blend. It is roughly 76 1/4" wide after being in the dryer. This is fine for my purposes is I have a 76 in bed, but if you're actually looking for a true 78, this did not start off anywhere near that and it shrunk about a quarter of an inch on the footboard side. As nothing on Amazon exactly fit my needs, I went in this knowing full well that I was going to make an adaptation to whatever I bought. I ended up sewing a polyester queen-size flat sheet on the back of the polypropylene. I am so very very very very glad I did. I did a attach it to the sides, not to the polypropylene. When ironing, if your iron even considers the possibility of being near the polypropylene it melts like crazy. You can use the full hot iron just fine on the cotton-poly drop, but that junk platform material just melts like butter. I would say I am moderately pleased. This could have been the best bed skirt on Amazon if the platform material was a matching polyester. It doesn't even have to be the same exact material. And also if a tiny bit more time was given to the sewing. It appears that everything was probably cut correctly, and the bottom seam is superb, no puckering at all. It's the inconsistency in the drop and in the width. I most assuredly would have paid a few dollars more for those changes.

Looks really good, with some work . . .
This bed skirt was the closest I could find online to what I wanted, so I thought I would try it out. The price was good, after all. I am pleased with the final result, but it took some work to get there. Read on for real life tips. First, I ironed the damn thing, using plenty of spray starch and pinning the pleats in place so they would hold while I adjusted it on the bed. It was a trick to iron because of the size: after ironing one section and repositioning to iron the next part, the first part would get wrinkled again -- but I digress . . . Here is the trick to getting it on your bed: you must remove the mattress entirely. With a king mattress, this means enlisting the help of another woman. Do not call on a man. He will complain, and every lift motion will be accompanied by a loud groan. Not worth it. After the mattress is removed, adjust exactly where you want the bed skirt to lie, carefully watching how far it extends to the floor, that the corners are exactly where they need to be, etc. Then, use a MASSIVE number of upholstery pins (available on Amazon, thank God). Be aware that you should not, as God is my witness, try to pull and drag the bed skirt around by the flimsy top part. It will fall apart like that first cake you tried to bake when you were twelve. Also, I neglected to mention that you should not, UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES, iron the top part while pressing the bed skirt. It will melt away as if it never existed. Once you have the bed skirt exactly where you want it, call your female helper back into the room to help lift and place the mattress back onto the bed. Do not drag it. Do not budge it. Do not shift it. See above notes regarding the flimsy top part of the item. Special problem I had: The bed skirt was actually too wide for my bed by a couple of inches, making it drag on the floor a bit on each side. I pulled it all toward the center and upholstery-pinned it in place. This worked pretty well, but throws off the center pleat. I ironed the crap out of the pleat, but now it's just a ruffle. Oh well.

The colour black is lovely
Bedskirt hangs very nice. Pleated corners are nice and sharp and fits bed perfectly. The fabric is quite thick not flimsy. Great value for the price. Would order again

Perfect basic bedskirt
Decent quality for the price. Corners line up perfectly, not see through and I did not find that it was too short. I should have taken the time to iron it before I put it on as it was quite wrinkled, but I was impatient to see how it would look. This purchase was the best option I could find for an inexpensive and simple bedskirt for our guest room. Note that I have tried uploading this photo several times and no matter the rotation, it still displays upside down!

Thick non-sheer Bedskirt
Exactly what I was looking for. White Bedskirt with a more structured overall look, and you can't see through it. I only take away one star for the fact that there are a few small tears on the mesh part that goes under the mattress. The part that hangs is very good quality though.

Looks good
It looks good hanging over the box spring. It's large enough that it covers the whole thing. Seams are great. No issues with any of the quality

Great Quality at an Affordable Price!
The material is of excellent quality; it is well-constructed and looks amazing with my new white comforter. Affordable price and at fast delivery. Once ironed, it looks great on my spare room bed. Would purchase again.
