broken handle after 3 games

I used it for 3 days of pickleball. Handle broke after 3 uses.

For the Occasional Player

I was expecting a professional level pickleball paddle for my dad who loves them game. The paddle was OK for beginners and for people who play occasionally. It did not hold up for frequent play and had to be replaced.

Recommended item

This paddle is one of my favorites because it's easiest for me to control the ball with. I like the solid bounce it has and when it comes to paddles my big test is to see how many times I can stand in one place and bounce the ball in the air and my record on this one is 137 so it REALLY has a good control and bounce to it. Really loud!

We're new to pickleball, so I've gotten various types of equipment without really knowing too much about it. I've tried both this wooden paddle and a composite paddle, and even from a beginner's perspective there are noticeable differences. This wooden paddle is heavier than my composite one, but only by a few ounces. I actually preferred this one for that reason, it felt more solid in hand and less likely to twist when hitting the ball. The grip is comfortable (keep in mind I’m usually playing for only about 45 minutes at a time). My husband, however, was annoyed by the very loud “thwack” sound this paddle makes when hitting the ball. It's a lot louder and more jarring than the sound the composite racket makes. Didn’t bother me!

Good first paddle

I'm relatively new to pickleball, but have had a lot of fun learning. This is a good paddle for beginners. It's not too expensive, and will let you get used to it. It's got a good comfortable grip, is balanced, and feels good all around. The surface is smooth, so it's harder to put spins on the ball, but that's OK for learning the game.

Okay for a wooden paddle

This 7 layer paddle is a well made paddle if you like using a wooden paddle. I find that it is heavier and doesn't rebound as well as an aluminum core paddle. If you have a lot of arm strength then you may not notice the weight at all but I found that it created some drag in my swing. The grip feels good in my hand but again, the weight tends to pull on my grip a bit but if you have a lot of arm strength then you probably won't have any issues with it. At the time of this review the retail price was around $15 which is reasonable for the quality.

Get a better quality one

Plastic edge cover broke first time used and handle appears bendy after 2nd time using following repair to plastic edge covering that split 1st time used. Basically get a better quality one as wasted my money. ????

Good wooden paddle for beginners

When my youngest son, his girlfriend and dog visited we ALL played Pickleball with these racquets for the first time. Everyone had a good time!

Arrived broken

I bought this racquet because it was inexpensive and I wasn’t sure how much my husband would actually use it. When we finally got out with it today, it made a weird sound when hitting the ball. One of the guys looked at it and said it’s because it’s broken, he said breaks are very common in the wood ones. This was the first time we used it so it was obviously broken upon receipt.
