Interesting poncho
This poncho is a mix of good and bad things. Personally, the pros outweigh the cons and is a product that has a shot to prove itself. Pros Lightweight- says the shipping weight is three pounds, I would say that it is lighter. Maybe one or two. Those that are concerned about the weight they carry can be rest assured Rip-stop- you can always be rest assured that if you...rip your poncho it won't continue to rip. Unfortunately, a poncho that is torn greatly diminishes the effectiveness of the poncho. The benefits of rip-stop is that it does make it tear resistant Provided Stuff Bag- I am on the fence about it. It is really gimmicky and mediocre in construction. The drawstring closures hardly work and rip the stitching if you pull too hard. What I like about it is that the poncho is stuffed into something that could easily fit the side pocket of cargo shorts/pants or a bag. It is roughly 8x7x2 (when stuffed) that could easily be compressed to a third of that with little effort. Additional Uses- Poncho "only" was the last thing on the designers mind. They were planning on it being used for a little bit of everything. A tent, floor mat, etc. This has button snaps to connect to other ponchos to provide a myriad of options. The grommeted corners are easily used for stakes and other things. Noise- It is noticeably more quiet than the normal plastic ponchos, which is nice from a tranquility aspect or any "ninja" activities you might want to do. Flecktarn- Flecktarn is one of the more difficult popular camo's out there, so options are very limited for my favorite military camo. Thank you Fox for making this. Cons Somewhat Expensive- At $30 this is one of the most expensive ponchos I have come across. Admittedly, I don't go chasing after ponchos all that often so it would be easy to say there are probably many more expensive ones out there. I have seen ponchos upwards of $50 but a majority are your $2 throwaways and commonly $10 and even $20. Length- It would have greatly benefited if it was 3-6 inches longer. Now I am taller than the Average Joe, but not unreasonably so. Expect it to be at knee height give or take 2-3 inches. Made in China- It makes me question the actual construction and quality of the product, as with all Chinese products. Lightweight- even this is a huge pro, this is a con. From experience, lightweight are weaker than your heavyweight counterparts. I am not sure about the true durability of the product. It says the product is waterproof, there is always the chance that the p/u coating skipped over the product, applied incorrectly, or would wear off eventually.

Pretty good
Is compact, convenient and easy to carry. The little bag that comes with it is perfect. Works well in light or medium rains but in a long heavy downpour it does leak.

It's a 15 dollar poncho not $30 poncho
Does it have grommets? Yep it has 4 . This could in theory be used for a tiny shelter however uts to thin to allow body heat to build up as it does with thicker ponchos. The hood has individual pull strings with locking pieces to give the snug perfect fit. At 5'9 220 this goes past my knees and fits fine on my shoulders. So is it a $15 poncho? Yes it does what other ponchos does . Who is this for? This great for the person to walk down a lane to check the mail on summer day or to keep in a car for emergencies or a bug out bag. Who is not for ? This is not for anyone hiking, camping, bushcrafting in wooded areas in my opinion. This a step up from the pocket pouches and 55 gallon liner. If you are north of Mason dixon line and plan to use this for winter ice snow rain etc you will need full winter coat and clothes under that. This would be fine for Florida.

Meh
Got this in the old school woodland pattern. The price and the fact that it came with "extras" i.e. the stuff pack and boonie hat made it attractive. No stuff sack nor boonie hat was included, mine came in a vinyl pouch, possibly reusable as a stuff sack of sorts, but most likely meant to be disposable packaging. So that was a bit of a disappointment. Other than that it appears to be of decent quality, though it is definitely not the same as a military poncho, at least not the one I was issued in 2014. Obviously the color is different by my own choosing, but also the dimensions aren't quite the same (while this one is sufficiently large for me, my actual military poncho is a bit larger), and the materials are not quite the same. This one feels somewhat cloth-ey (like the outer layer of a windbreaker jacket maybe?), whereas the actual military poncho feels more like a thin tarp. The snaps on this one are a nice addition. As far as whether or not it's actually waterproof, I haven't tested it in a rain storm, I'll update if necessary but I think it will be fine.

Great service
No problem with delivery. . . I chose surface delivery which took a little longer than expected, but these folks had it priced to cover shipping and even that price was competitive with others who would charge more and charge for shipping on top of that. Product itself is standard Chinese knock-off of GI ripstop waterproof poncho in German flectarn pattern. . . not as sturdy as the old GI types, but more than serviceable. I plan to get at least two more. This outfit wants our business. . . they also included a 5% discount coupon with the order. Not much, but still better than a poke in the eye. I will keep an lookout on their website. Hope they offer more military surplus.

Durable poncho
Very basic rain poncho. I'm not a hiker, outdoors-men, nor "prepper". I just wanted a good poncho to keep handy and this does the trick. I gave it 4 stars because I think it's a little pricey for what you get. Quality is good and fabric is way more durable than those cheap disposable versions. However, is just a piece of fabric with a hole and a hood.

Great for walking during a chilly rainy season!
I bought this as a gift for a friend and she's finding it very useful during a rainy winter in the high country of northern California. She says it helps keeps her dry and warm - as she walks to and from work (a couple of miles each way). At first, she thought of it as a 'tent' but now appreciates the practicality! It might not be a fashion statement but it is definitely helpful to her as a pedestrian. She is about 5'4 so it is a bit long on her but it doesn't impede her walking.

Good durable and affordable
Building a kit of any kind? You'll want to invest in a nice matching poncho to accompany it. This is a good choice.
