When elbow grease is called for, this helps
I bought this to remove algae build up on a natural rock fountain. This brush helped to remove the hardened bits after killing the algae and get back to the rock's surface without harming the rock. I will continue to use this as needed on other surfaces that are like rock (concrete, stone, etc) that need scrubbing.

Not great, not bad
I used this to clean brake dust off of my brake calipers while I was replacing pads and rotors. For one thing, this was a little bit too big for the job, but it worked well enough. I just couldn't get into the small corners. It's not too well made though. You can see how the bristles are already deforming. It might do better on something like a grill. I wasn't too impressed though. Of course, I also didn't pay that much money, so whatever. I really give it more of a 3.5, but I'll be generous and round up.

Great brush for removing moss
I used a similar brush from the same maker to remove moss growing on concrete (some bleach can do the job also but this brush is cheaper than bleach and gives me some exercise). This brush is different as it does not have a metal scraper at the end. This brush turns out to be more suitable for the job I intended to use it for. The other brush started to lose bristles as I used it because the bristles are so hard. This brush does not lose bristles because it is softer. Being softer, it will not remove the toughest stains on the concrete but it easily removes most other stuff, including dead moss. It also costs less than the harder brush, about 3 bucks less,, and will last longer for what I do with it.

A very good brand
The Forney 70504 Wire Scratch brush, Carbon steel is made of very good quality. I marked it 4 stars only because it specified the whole measurement of the brush, whereas I needed the measurement (length and width) of the bristles for my purpose. I also needed a "softer" one for my pots and pans and this particular brush (carbon steel) may be used primarily for cars, rusty iron (not sure) items. The company very generously have me keep it instead of returning the brush, which my husband promptly kept for his car. So I bought the same brand (Forney) from the same company, one specifically for my needs. Forney is a very good brand; I will recommend. Just be sure you are buying the specific item you need!

Bang for Buck? Kinda
Ideally, this wire brush was used to clean the grip tape of my skateboard. This is probably a big too big, however it still does the job. The wires are great and works perfectly, however the wooden handle is a bit on the lower quality. Still can't beat the fact that it was under $4

I use it to comb out my 24" dry mop
I use this to comb out my 24" dry mop at work. It extends the mop head life and works well at getting the nasties out if the fibers.

Has held up well even after all the abuse
I have had this brush for a while now and it has performed well and it is sturdy. I keep it the garage away from water and the bristles have not begun to rust. I have used it to take much rust off of various pieces of metal and even brushed some spray paint off concrete. I have used it to brush mildew off of brick and mortar. I am happy with this purchase
