Awesome for sammiches but not great for eggs
Our bad, but we tried making eggs as seen on Pinterest. I spilled mine all over & had to remake.... and, you guessed it, I spilled again. Moral of the story: Not everything you see on the internet is true. Don't get these for liquid. Stick to sammiches.

Does the job but after a few months already looks very used
It is okay - I only use it my Owen to make cheese sandwich - after a few tries it already looks like I have had it for years and it doesn’t properly close all the edges anymore (about 2 months and probably about 20 uses) - it still does the job for me but not sure I would buy it again

This cooker did a good job cooking a grilled cheese on an open camp fire, the non-stick surface worked well. However, my daughter left it sitting in the fire pit and the metal handle melted right off. Use above the flame and dont leave in the fire and it will be fine.

Great customer service - Not happy with the product quality.
First off I will say that I can't complain about the customer service - they did certainly off for me to return the item on their dime for a full refund. That being said, I have yet to make a trip to the post office to return the item. I'm simply writing this review in case others have experienced the same issue I had with it. The hinge literally melted away (broke) the first time I put the pie make on the tripod cooker thing above the campfire. This particular pie cooker thing is certainly not made like the quality coleman products I grew up with. It would be one star if the review was solely about the product... But I have bumped it to two stars because they certainly did give me the ability to return the item for a full refund.

Easy to use easy to clean
Makes the best grilled cheese ever. Love this cooker. Easy to use and easy to clean. I had purchased a different “cast iron” brand that was super bumpy and the food all stuck to it. Upon sanding down the bumps the “cast iron” came off revealing shiny silver surface underneath. Those went in the trash. These Coleman ones I will keep forever

Bad handle design
The handles on this one are terrible! I own several generations and even double pie irons and this one is by far the worst. Every time I grab the handles to check my food or flip it, the clip pops off and slides down to the hot part. The handles need to be solid, not spring-like. I’m very disappointed. However, the pie part cooks just fine and is easy to clean.

Buy these!
We use these irons during camping to create several meals. They work flawlessly each and every time. Be careful, the metal will melt when placed into a warm campfire as they are aluminum.

Great Fun!
Bought this as a gift for my daughter and her husband who love to camp. I gave her my recipe for "Cherry Pies". Easy... white bread, butter on each side, fill with Cherry Pie filling and cook! :) Will buy a second one for them next holiday!
