This is my fav product now!

I just love how easy spreads on the furniture, the feeling after and smells like coffee when spreading it. This is now my favorite wax for furniture and other items as well. Very happy that I found out they have many different colours available.

Faulty product

I knew that the profuct I got was faulty!! I called customer service and the not so friendly representative said that the was was frozen and defrost, that's why looks so chunky and it's imposible to apply! They are resending the product but I am not happy at all. Won't be buying again.

This was very easy to use and buffed to a nice finish

This was very easy to use and buffed to a nice finish. I have used it on 15 year old "unfinished" but color washed frames and it gave them a silky but hard finish that was much better than the original bare wood. I also used it to seal a chalk painted metal birdcage. I did have some of the paint rub off the metal if I waxed it and then accidentally ran the brush over a wet area of wax. Once I figured out not to do that, it was fine. I let it sit for 24 hours after waxing and then buffed the metal, the chalk paint finish is hard and I could not flake off the paint with my finger like I could before the wax. Can't wait to chalk paint and wax something else now! My husband is going to come home to everything in my house chalk painted ;)

LOVE this!

This liquid wax goes on like a dream. Just brush it on like you do your paint, let it dry (I normally wait 12-24 hours) and then buff it with a cloth. This wax gets hard enough to use a single coat on furniture, but I put 2 or 3 coats on surfaces that are going to be heavily used like the top of a buffet, just for good measure. I used a soft wax previously and did not get this kind of result. This has a nice smooth but hard finish. I can't speak to how long it will hold up but it's been about a month on the hutch I did and it's great so far. I use this for signs also to protect them from scratching. I have used it over chalk paint, homemade chalk paint and regular latex paint.

It works! I think

So I just tried this for the first time (I've never used chalk paint) but I felt like the youtube guides were the best education I'd get. I waited for my item to dry, then I put on one thin coat (maybe I should've added more?) and then let it sit overnight. The next morning, I buffed it with a dry clean rag. So far, so good! It's is shiny and you can definitely see a difference in the finish. I'm not sure how long it will last or if I should've put more wax on, but I was being conservative since this was my first project.

Little bit goes a long way

I love how smoothly this goes on, easy to buff and can be wiped after a couple minutes to give a matte finish vs a glossy finish if you leave it overnight. Overall happy with this product and will use it again for future projects.

Best product ever!

I normally don't write reviews, but was so excited and impressed by the clear wax from this company. I have never refinished furniture before and this was so easy. It seem impossible to mess up and I finished one dresser in about 15 minutes. After a day or so the wax was soft and smooth. I would recommend this to anyone and am so glad it worked well! I only needed the 8 oz jar for a 3" x 4" dresser.

So much better than the solid wax!

I used this on an old table and used the rub on wax on a different table. The liquid is so much better as it dries to a hard surface. The wax in the can is still coming off 2 months later.

Fine for craft projects

I used this liquid wax as a finish for painted wood ornaments. I wasn't a fan of the final finish even after buffing the wax with a cloth. I thought the finish look uneven. I have used many waxes and top coats and know how and when to use each. I don't think I'd use it on larger paint projects like furniture. I don't think I would like the finished look on furniture.

Success!

Either I got a defective container of wax from a bad batch or....I keep looking at the container to be sure it has clear wax or if it is The Sheepskin colour of this brand's chalk paint. I have tried to use this twice now both times failed. First time, on a rocking chair I painted two coats of gorgeous Parisian Grey, only for me to apply the clear wax with brush and for my chair to now look all cream/off white, it took the colour of the 'unclear' wax', I thought I was heavy handed in the application. Second time, I tried it on a spindle bed I had brushed on two coats of gorgeous Cascade., this time being careful to apply very thinly with a brush, it just wasn't working, whitening my bluish Cascade. I just don't get it! UPDATE: Apparently the clear wax i bought on here was not the content in the bottle! It was definitely chalk paint and not clear wax. I bought another bottle elsewhere on Amazon.com and..YEP...THE REAL CLEAR WAX! It is indeed clear unlike...a breeze to work with, just brush on and buff to shine! Easy peasy, I like! Especially since waxing seems to be a challenge for noobs like me, this clear wax is the ish!
