Who knew? Not me!!

I have never used a foam roller for paint before using this one! But, that said, I have painted TONS of stuff in my lifetime. I can say by THAT experience, this is hands down, the easiest roller to use and clean! The finish this roller left on my projects (mostly furniture) is as smooth as can be! It left nothing to sand or smooth out, even on chalk paint, which is a HUGE bonus in my book (and which, let's be honest...can be a coarse finish)! So paint on, fellow painters and be sure to buy and use this one! It's amazing!

Better than expected

Great roller. I've used it for multiple projects like resurfacing shower enclosure/bathtub, bathroom counter and shelving so far with better than expected results.

Provides a nice smooth finish.

Just the right size for my projects which involve varnishing digital prints. Well-made. The size is perfect. No complaints. Add on the foam mini roller refills and it's just right. The roller itself is nothing special, per se. The foam roller, however, produces a nice smooth finish.

Only foam roller I used that actually worked well. Stuff at Lowes and Home Depot didn't cut it.

Disintegrating foam

The roller started disintegrating after about 30 minutes of use

Not for kitchen cabinets

I bought this for painting kitchen cabinets. It left a pebble texture. Ended up using a paint brush instead.
