Pretty nice overall. Still slightly skeptical.

The reel itself is sturdy enough, lightweight and easily portable. If I had to put a number on the assembled weight with the hose, its under 10 pounds. It's VERY light which for me is a big plus. But the plastic feet that are supposed to be on the bottom are mounted the wrong way, facing up. Also before I purchased this I couldn't find pictures of the left side where the main hose connects to the swivel joint, so I posted some here. The hose is incredibly flexible and light. More so than any hose I've ever used and I worked in shops for years. Again, for my purposes, this is a plus. My only gripe is that the threaded fittings on the ends of the hose seem too light to be made of a quality material. These things are made in Taiwan. So if the fittings are aluminum, I seriously doubt its 100% quality aluminum and not an alloy of some kind. It doesn't come assembled at all but setup time is minimal. It took less than 15 minutes. Where the main hose hooks up to the 90* fitting and feeds into the reel, its a pretty tight area if you want to change the angle. I'm going to drill a hole in the side of the reel so I can attach a steel clamp and keep the strain off of the connection. I'm a detailer, so for what I need I believe the reel will work fine. The hose I'm not so sure of but I'll see how long it lasts. If there are any issues down the road, I'll be sure to post back here with an update. If you don't see any updates, you can assume its working fine still. All in all, its a decent reel for the money. If lightweight and portable is your focus, then you'll like it. If you're in construction or or any other environment where this thing might be dropped, kicked over, have things fall on it or get stepped on repeatedly then you should probably buy something of better quality. Or at the very least just put a heavier hose on it.

one issue

well made and works well. the only issue is the anti-kink spring that is to be installed by the consumer at the hose connection to the axle. the hose end fitting is slightly too large, and I could not get the spring to slide over the fitting. m\Much effort and multiple tool slips that injure hands: no success.

This has been so convenient! It is hooked up to our air compressor in the garage, and it’s so nice to not have to lug the big air compressor around anymore!

Wonder why......

Ever wonder why they advertise the Flexzilla RP900250 FLX 1/4" Reusable END on the same page as the item? The hose they send has plastic ends on it is why! Over time, I would plan on purchasing 4 of these replacement ends. ETA.... Like many reviewers stated, I too was missing nuts and washers from the box. "I was wrong"! The hose actually has aluminum ends. When you install the hose to the reel, one of the plastic bend protectors has to be removed. Be careful doing this or you will need one of the replacement ends as it might be easy to cut the hose (and/or your hand) removing the bend protector. :)

For a small portable air hose reel, I like it. The hose super flexible and fittings are top quality. If need, with some extra screws or hooks, the roll can be easily mounted on the wall. The two small issues I have are the price is a little high (all Legacy products are pricey) and the handle that's used to scroll the hose back and forth during rewinding is a little cheesy in design. Otherwise its a good product.

Decent build quality bad design

The build quality seems good enough. However the design has a serious flaw! Where the hose connects to the reel, the fitting is oriented at the WRONG angle. Instead of angling the connected hose down towards the reel so you can safely wind it on, the hose connection angle causes the those to both stick straight out AWAY from the wheel and sit at a 45 deg angle across the wheel (side to side). So, wrapping the 100ft hose onto the wheel over the top of the beginning end of the hose that is sticking out puts a huge stress on that hose end that will surely result in a failure of the crimped on hose fitting over time due to repeated flexing/unflexing at inadvisable angles. Pondering whether to just return it now or stick it out and see what happens. Again, serious flaw in the design. To close out my description, the improper angle of the fitting that connects the 100ft hose to the reel causes the hose to jut out inches away from the reel. So, you end up winding the hose up over the top of the beginning end resulting in a huge gap between the hose and the reel it is wound onto. Stupid, stupid, stupid.

Absolutely horrible, steer clear

Purchased this in December and didn’t get around to unboxing and assembling it until now. First of all, the reel is really poorly designed and the assembly is asinine. Second, the assembly requires you to CUT OFF one of the bend restrictors from the air hose (makes perfect sense on a product designed to hold air, right) and install a spring on the end that connects to the reel. That would be great, if only the manufacturer actually included a spring. This product deserves no stars; wish I could return it.
