All good except the thin shin pad
My wife bought this chair for me to use in my office because of a back problem. I've used it for a few weeks now and find it has helped some, and I'm optimistic it will continue to improve my back pain. It does take some getting used to , as it forces you to use your core muscles while sitting--something we generally don't do when using a high-back office chair. It seems to be more comfortable the more I use it. I found it pretty easy to assemble, unlike many other reviewers; and this is coming from someone who has destroyed more than one piece of Ikea furniture in feeble assembly attempts. It feels very sturdy and well made. While it doesn't have wheels, it does have rollers that allow you to roll forward and back, which meets my needs just fine. The reason I give it four stars versus five is the shin pad, as mentioned by several other reviewers, which doesn't have enough cushion. My shins sometimes feel like they're rubbing against the metal behind the thin cushioning. I'm currently looking for some sort of padded cover to go over the cushion in hopes this will solve the problem. Otherwise, I'm completely satisfied.

pretty good, and pretty firm
It is as advertised but it's not obvious from the detail page how unforgiving the very minimal cushions can be. I sit for many hours and should definitely take more breaks, but I do wish it was a thicker layer of foam. I find my self here today shopping for a new kneeling chair with more cushion or some kind of pad that I can strap on to this thing. The bar roller things that look like wheels in the product photos are not functional wheels and have plastic parts that have disintegrated and don't look nice anymore. They serve well as skids but a more durable construction would have been appreciated.

good frame, horrible padding, cheap covers on the handles, not for the tall
The frame of this chair is very sturdy once you assemble it. The handle padding smells a bit like burnt rubber, and rips easily the padding on the seat and for the knees is good only for 1-2 hours of use, after that it gets too compressed and you might as well be sitting on wood. I'm between 5'9" and 5'10" and this chair seems to be either about the right size or maybe a little small depending on how high I want to sit. I can't say I'd really recommend this unless you want it for the metal frame and will replace the padding and upholstery with something of your own.

Good for what it is though not the best
As far as kneeling chairs go, this might be the best budget one around. As far as chairs go, it's not great. You're probably looking for a kneeling chair because it can be better on your back, if you're disciplined enough something like this can work but it's not exactly going to be as comfortable as that armchair you're in now. The frame itself is quite sturdy and would probably far outlast those wooden ones I've seen. It can help with your posture if you sit in it how it's supposed to. The material on the 2 pads aren't exactly quality chair material, it's good enough to not bother a bare leg that much. The cushions are a little flat and could use more thick padding. All in all, it's designed for back support, not comfort, so don't go throwing out your old chair just yet.(Though this is coming from someone who sits in an armchair 10 different ways in 2 hours, I could just be unsatisfiable)

Solid Construction, thin padding, no Height Adjustment
I like the concept. The chair is pretty strong. Was a little confusing to put together, instructions were very sparse. Padding is a little thin and after only a month I feed the hard surface underneath. I like my chairs to sit low so when I sit up straight my head is eye level with the upper portion of my monitor, but this chair has no independent height adjustment, the angle adjustment is they only way to change height. So when I angle the chair more vertically (which takes more load off of my back) I sit far too high (and I'm only 5'10).

sturdy, minor modification needed
Easy to assemble. I am 6' tall and found the knee pad too high even with my shins on the pad and not my knees as one reviewer suggested. To solve this, I lowered the pivot point by drilling another hole 1 and 1/8 inch down on the two struts that run from the seat to the floor. Should you do this, use a template (1x2 board). drill the holes on the board, run a bolt thru the board and place in original pivot hole, then drill second hold in strut BELOW the original hold. This template ensures that both holes are the same distance down. This modification works so well I'm surprised manufacturers don't provide multiple pivot holes. Chair is sturdy, fabric is tough, padding is minimal but useable. I figure I can recover and add more padding in the future if needed. I hope this helps others in their decision making..

I''ve bought two now... thinking of buying another in case they stop making them
Update - I bought my second one a few weeks go because I now work from home and also have to go into the office a couple times a week. The padding on my first purchase years ago, is smashed, but the chair still works fine. Very much recommended. This chair is just what I wanted. I did not install the handles - I think they would make it more awkward to get into and out of this chair and I'm not sure what the purpose of the handles might be. It certainly looks less goofy with out the handles. The chair was easy to put together, but the instructions had the wrong screws for installing the knee pad. It was obviously wrong and still easily remedied. The chair itself is sturdy yet light enough that I didn't have any trouble carrying it across the parking lot and up the stairs to my office. I'm 5'3'' and it's possible that this chair wouldn't work for taller people as it fits me perfectly. I also love that I can sit with my feet either behind or in front of the knee pad, so it functions as either a kneeling chair or a stool. Plenty of padding on the seat and knee pad. The wheels roll back and forth, but not sideways, which works well for me.

Didn't work for me.
Found my legs too short even in the lowest position, and could not sit comfortable on it.
