Given the price, I was not expecting much. I was pleasantly surprised with the quality of fabric and the fit. Since we will only use this sporadically, I can't speak to how well it will hold up in the wash, but given it's only going to fit for a few months, I'm not too worried. My 10 month old, 18 pounder fit (who wears 6-12 months) in the 12 months size perfectly.
