Another winner from OXO

I have never been disappointed with an OXO product. Sometimes they are remarkable, sometimes "merely" functional, but always have been worth the cost. These were purchased to replace "replacement" after market sink strainers that spouse bought for an old sink that was in the kitchen when house was purchased. The aftermarket strainers were letting small pieces of food go down the drain, although they were adjustable to allow water to fill the sink if a dish needed soaking. After having to clean the p-trap one time too many, I tried these. They simply sit on top of the existing sink drain, but cover the drain completely so that it appears there is a brushed stainless sink drain with black strainers. They catch every little piece of food from the dishes, remove easily, and the black plastic inverts smoothly for easy clean up. The only thing they do NOT do is stop up the water in the sink if you want to soak a dish, but that is relatively rare in our house. I did keep the old strainers in case I really really wanted to fill the sink, but have not so far. We have plans to renovate the kitchen and will replace the sink and strainers at that time, but meanwhile these are workhorses.

Great strainer for the kitchen sink

Purchased this to replace the same item that has lasted over 6 years and now has a slight crack in the silicone. This strainer catches everything that shouldn’t go down the drain. Emptying it is simple and the silicone center inverts for even easier cleaning. I still have the original drain stopper that came with the sink in case it’s needed to plug the drain which never happens.

Great Quality, Gets the Job Done, Worth the Money

Don't waste your tome or money on any other sink strainer they are all junk or expensive junk. Oxo has the best one hands down !!!

Easy to clean strainer.

The sink strainer functions well as a strainer. The silicone center makes it super easy to empty any collected scrap material.

Excellent strainer, but wears out in about three years.

This is a great strainer, very easy to clean because you can turn the rubber inside out. After a while, however, the rubber wears out and starts to tear. I had to replace my first one after about three years. It's still worth buying though.

Fine product, well designed and well made.

I am on my second or third set of these strainers, and they do an excellent job. However, after daily use for 3 years or so, they wear out. Specifically, to clean them well, you have to push the bottom part of the strainer upward. Doing this repeatedly over the years stresses the rubber and cracks form between the little holes. As the cracks get wider, debris begins to fall through, so the strainer has to be replaced. Other than that, these are great. And to be fair, my wife and I are retired, and we spend a lot of time at the sink. These are quality items--they work well and look nice in the sink. I will continue buying them.

Longtime user of this strainer

I’ve used this exact product for 10 years before replacing it with a new unit. I think it’s one of the best out there. I’d encourage purchasing one.

Works well

Does he job well. The rubber will separate from the steel after a couple years perhaps. I consider it is normal wear.

Quality, well made, easy to use.

Really nice quality item. I was surprised at how easy it is to clean and how well it fitted our kitchen sink plug hole. When in place it looks like it's part of the sink. The centre pin makes it a doddle to pick up and turn inside out for cleaning. It makes every other sink strainer we've had look like cheap rubbish, which they were compared to this.

Best strainer.

Looks great with the stainless trim and has a centre post to pick it up with. Fits my standard sink drain easily and would even fit into a smaller drain too. It also flips inside out for cleaning.
