Great filter, cleans easily with K&N spray and hose. Automotive quality for home AC.
I have bought K&N filters for my motorcycles and cars for 30 years. I know the high quality. Wife found these for our house AC (20x20) and bought. She also got the cleaning spray. We have two air returns so she got two. We gave them a month and then took out and cleaned per instruction. Cleaned up great. Even sheds cat hair along with the dust. She bought two more so we can swap out sets and give the dry time. (Not really needed). She has been buying the high dollar one-time filters for several years,,, throwing them out every few months. I expect this to save us big on filters,,,, if they last just a few years each. And much better than the old Electrastatic Filter Paul Harvey sold us 30 years ago! lol GOOD REUSE FILTERS, THANKS K&N.

Very stiff
This filter is very stiff & I think worth the money. I’ve had trouble with filters bowing & then freezing the unit. A ton of ac calls costing a ton of money. So far so good.

I just installed this on 4/1, so I can use the first of the month as my monthly cleaning marker. This is so much more sturdy than any of the 3-month filters I've used for the past 5 years The durability remains to be seen.

The absolute best home item. Save $$$$$
This is awesome. Always use this filter in all my cars.. always! Then I find out I San get one for my home. This will save us hundreds if not thousands over its lifetime. It just requires some K and N cleaning juice and bam back into place to filter your air out again. My house has less lint, dust, and needs less cleaning my furniture which means less of my time so I can do other things like leave this review. Lol Good day, Mr2

Product review comparison with Trophy Air MERV 4/5 electrostatic washable filter
I ordered 2 of these K&N filters to fit 2 of 3 of my returns. Picked up 14x20x1 and 20x20x1 since they don't have 14x14x1 (yet). I've read plenty of reviews before purchasing both K&N and Trophy Air filters. What I've concluded from those reviews are, either your sacrificing air quality vs air flow efficiency... of course since the higher MERV will restrict more air flow to provide cleaner air. This has always been the case and if you want a whole house filter, then consider expanding to a 4" filter since they are replaced 6 months to 1 year. What I did not see in these reviews are actual numbers or metrics from an anemometer. I've conducted a simple test in Feet Per Minute holding the anemometer center of the return vent: # 14x20x1 (Downstairs, Amana 2 ton system) - Trophy Air (MERV 4/5): ~600 FPM - K&N (MERV 11): ~500 FPM # 20x20x1 (Upstairs, Amana 2.5 ton system) - Trophy Air (MERV 4/5): ~425 FPM - K&N (MERV 11): ~400 FPM # 14x14x1 (Upstairs, Ext. of Amana 2.5 ton system) - Trophy Air (MERV 4/5): ~225 FPM - K&N (MERV 11): TBD - Will update once they produce this size Based on my test results, we can see it's not that dramatic difference like some critical reviews. This is why I like numbers rather than "bro science" assumptions. For those who need >= MERV 13 / filtering = 4" filter. Seen too many negative reviews with folks expecting >= MERV 13 who bought these... ...washable filters... ???? Since the K&N has a higher MERV rating, this filter will be used during the allergy seasons; fall and spring. I will be using the Trophy Air during the summer and winter seasons since the HVAC runs more during these months. Both are excellent quality and will need more time to experience how well they perform. I ordered both since I would need a filter while the other one is drying and having 2 different MERV rated filters, this K&N was the perfect choice since it's one of the highest (MERV 11) rated washable filter. Will update this review...

Instantly solved an airflow issue
Our A/C was whistling and driving my spouse crazy since he recently got hearing aids. I bought this to replace the regular filters for that alone. Immediate side benefit was an increased air flow. The filter ‘looked’ clean and had been recently replaced. However there must have been dry wall dust in it. The whistling stopped and the air was warmer. All the vents were putting out more air. Thanks for a quality product!

Mounted to a 20 inch box fan
I have this mounted to a box fan with a timer in basement on medium speed. The coughing and sneezing in my home has disappeared. Spring is coming and I say bring it on, cuz I got my protection

Filtre dure a nettoyer
Nettoyage facile????? Apres un mois la nicotine disparait presque pas avec produit hertel qui est tres fort comme nettoyeur. Non recommandable…. Prefere acheter un par mois chez Canadian tire et le jetter par la suite… trop dispendieux a nettoyer et non effficace!!
