Where can I get a replacement for the tiny brush?
Overall, I like this filter, I have it in my 5 gallon shrimp tank with a shrimp guard ON. The shrimp guard is just a "Guard" it doesn't really "BLOCKS" baby shrimps from getting in. Every time I clean the filter, I still have to go in and rescue a bunch of baby shrimps. The filter is pretty good, it doesn't take up much space at all. The only two issue I have is, I can't find a replacement tiny brush to clean the out flows. The brush is so tiny. Sure I might be able to use something like a toothpick with some paper towel but will it clean as good as the brush? The other thing is, its hard to put any other filter media in there, unless you go custom and cut your own sponge and what not. I have shrimps so I just use the default filter media and it seems to work fine for them. Update: Its a great little filter, works well for a shrimp tank for sure. As for replacement brush, I finally found it, https://www.amazon.com/dp/B096TR2DLL/ref=sspa_dk_detail_3?psc=1&pd_rd_i=B096TR2DLL&pd_rd_w=JrSxJ&content-id=amzn1.sym.d81b167d-1f9e-48b6-87d8-8aa5e473ea8c&pf_rd_p=d81b167d-1f9e-48b6-87d8-8aa5e473ea8c&pf_rd_r=Y6EQZQV2QKBMDXSY1GGM&pd_rd_wg=yRTIk&pd_rd_r=4bafa772-71b4-45ed-b466-fecd1fc6a66b&s=kitchen&sp_csd=d2lkZ2V0TmFtZT1zcF9kZXRhaWxfdGhlbWF0aWM&spLa=ZW5jcnlwdGVkUXVhbGlmaWVyPUEzNEhZSkdZTkFTSVcwJmVuY3J5cHRlZElkPUEwMTU1NzY3MThaVTVPVEkzQjJJMSZlbmNyeXB0ZWRBZElkPUEwMjY1NTM1MUVESEVMTzdaVDBHMSZ3aWRnZXROYW1lPXNwX2RldGFpbF90aGVtYXRpYyZhY3Rpb249Y2xpY2tSZWRpcmVjdCZkb05vdExvZ0NsaWNrPXRydWU=

Silent!
I love this little filter. I have an 8-gallon tank with a betta and some shrimp, and the filter I tried before this, even though it was a nano filter, was way too strong and annoyingly loud. I sent it back after a couple of days. This has an adjustable flow and is virtually silent once all the air bubbles have been worked out. I'm very sensitive to noises, but this filter is so quiet, I can't even tell it's on, except for the obvious outflow. I have to imagine the tank inhabitants appreciate the quiet, too. It's also very good at its job; my water is so clean it's invisible. The fact that the body is mostly transparent is nice, too, as it isn't visually jarring. It just kind of disappears into its corner and does its job. Yes, it's more expensive than other similar-sized filters, but I'm happy to have spent the extra money in return for silence, efficiency, and adjustability.

well I like it
Here's to hoping a stronger filter fixes the hair algea problem I've been having. I original got this for a 20 gal build but it's kinda small. So, I replaced the filter on my 10 gal tank with this one to see if it'll help balance the tank out. Pros, I like how quiet it is. But that's normal for a jet filters. You won't hear it after all the air has been purged from the pump. I love how you can adjust the water flow. I absolutely love the fact that it fits into a corner. Cons, I don't like how hard it'll be to maintain. You basically have to pull the bottom portion into to separate pieces inorder to get to the filter media. I don't like the clips on the side/bottom of the clear plastic part. There quite flimsy and don't hold firmly in place. I don't like how small it is. It's advertised for a 10 to 40 gal filter. but I have a hard time seeing it prosses a 40 gal tank and keeping it clean of detritus with out help from other filters. At max I'd say this small compact jet filter can clean a 15 gal tank, anything above that and you will be struggling to maintain the aquarium properly. The sections on the back came un stuck after 2 days and it's hanging by a suction and the cord. But that's probably because I didn't clean the glass before swapping it in. One last thing, it's not really worth $30. if you can get it on sale around 20 then go for it. Otherwise you can find much better options out there for around 20 to 25.

A great filter for 95% percent of tanks.
We really like this filter, however, it is clearly not big enough for our heavily planted aquascaping tank. We run CO2 injection in a 10 gallon tank, and every square inch has something growing on it. This filter simply can't keep up with the amount of plants that are decaying. We ended up getting an external canister filter. That being said, if you have shrimp in a tank with few plants this filter would be AWESOME. VERY quiet and powerful. The shrimp filter has a brilliant design (sold seperately). I hope this review saves some poor aquascaper the trouble of buying this filter. For everyone else, this filter is a winner!

Suction No Good
I love the design, easy to clean, works great for my shrimp, however, suction cups have failed and it’s been less then 6 months. Can’t find replacement cups anywhere.

Perfect filter for me Betta Tank
I was looking for a filter I could adjust the to a low flow rate for my Betta and this has worked perfectly. The current in the tank is just the right amount for my Betta. I had purchased a different brand nano filter and the flow even at the lowest was still to intense for him to swim in so I am glad I found this product. I would recommend this product to anyone with a nano tank. Product is also clean because when had a slime algae bloom I had to take the entire unit apart. it was easy pretty easy to clean it up and getting it back into the tank quickly. The little brush provided the clean nozzle holes works great. I did purchase a straw cleaning brush to clean the length the spray tube which aided in the ease of cleaning.

Great product
Pros: super silent, compact, you can direct the water output. Cons: might not be as efficient as canister filters. I needed a silent filter for my 12 gallons tank, my previous canister filter was making this rattle propeller noise and this works way beyond expectations. You can only hear the water noise if you decide to have a fountain, otherwise can work completely submersed. Fish and plants are not affected by the water currents, since you can adjust the flux as you want. It’s perfect.

Was bedeutet für Dennerle "junge Garnelen"?

Best filter for small tank
Absolutely fantastic. I discovered after exploring different reasons for a biofilm (rainbow affect) forming across the top of the water and sometimes a protein layer (white layer across top of water) that the tank needed surface agitation. The previous filter worked solely under water. This can be placed so that the spray bar is above the water (remainder of filter should be under the water). My water is now crystal clear, my tetras and sunset balloon ram are all happy and well. The filter is barely audible and simple to clean. So pleased I found this, will be a life saver for my fish. I had also changed to granules from flakes as flakes can bloat in fish if not soaked for a little while before adding (I previously lost one to swim bladder) and are quite oily in the water. Highly recommended. Too much organic matter can contribute to a protein layer and although plants give out oxygen in the day they absorb during the night, one site recommends up to 10% of space in the tank is taken up by plants if you keep fish in there, so I reduced mine to this. I hope this helps some who may have experienced similar issues.

cheap and looks smart does the job what can you ask for.
looks good so far haven't plugged it in yet as its an emergency filter. looks tidy and small enough for the smallest of aquariums does come with a uk plug adaptor you'll basically push the 2 prongs into the uk adaptor and then tighten a screw done simples. the filter compartment pulls off and splits open in 2 parts and inside is a cartridge that has a layer of white filter floss wrapped around it. and can only be placed in 1 way depending which way the 2 small plastic pins are pointing on the white cartridge. and has a small course piece of black carbon foam at the bottom of the filter. comes with 6 suction cups so theirs no way it will come away in the aquarium. has 2 connectors to allow a few ways you can attache the spray bar depending your tank configuration. and to those moaning that it sucked your shrimps up it plain and clearly states in the small pack the accessories come in a small leaflet theirs a add on you can buy even amazon sell it ive seen it and attaches to the front of the filter making it safer so shrimps or baby's dont get sucked up but hay you didn't read the instructions or that so im guessing your not a professional.

Almost perfect.
I have a Aquascaper 300 cube tank which is around 27l. I have a nice planted scape, which rocks and baby dwarf tears. This sits in the corner and although it looks fairly big in comparison to my tank, it doesn’t look too bad. The flow seems quite decent and the tiny bits of plants get push around the whole tank, the inlet was stuck with bits of plants and dirty already, so I’m confident this does the job for my tank. the filter should be fairly easy to clean with just detaching the inlet bit, but even if I had to take the whole thing off, it’s easy enough to do. I have Amano shrimp in there and they’re fine, however not sure about baby cherry shrimps haven’t tried yet. I didn’t want an external for this size of tank, as I didn’t want the extra maintenance, so I wanted an internal, i also wanted a flow bar and there isn’t much choice out there to fit my requirement. However this fits the bill, would of been perfect it was slightly smaller. Overall very pleased with it.

German quality, nice price, MEGA silent : happy fish
This filter offers all you need: silent – my fish seems not to be stressed out (Betta), great quality, stable. It is made in Germany & you see the quality right away even if this is not a super expensive product. The price is very good. I thought you need to say bye to much more than 17£ to get this quality, but no this filter is real good. The water flow can be regulated. And the lowest speed is really good low. My betta fish(they seem not to like strong water flaws or bubbles) doesn't stress, so it seems to be a good indicator that all is flawless. My tank is 12L. They also have a youtube video (in Geman) with instructions on how to set it. The only thing which didnt work for me is the UK adaptor, which u have to constract yourself. But I am not an expert in eletronics, so probably this is kinda easy thing if you know how to do it. Some instructions for this would be cool.
